7/4/20 – I Put On My America Shirt

You slept all night last night in your bed. When you woke up, I was sitting on the couch working. You came out with your Philadelphia Love shirt on, panties and the new socks Grandma Noot gave you and said “I put on my America shirt so we can celebrate 4th of July Again this day!!

We played with your dinosaur tracks. You took the stickers that were supposed to go on the bridge & put them on the dinosaurs neck, pretending they were band-aids. You wanted to FaceCall Ms. Sandy, so we did and you showed her what you were doing.

You wanted a piece of the cake Grandma Noot made yesterday for breakfast. I let you have it (why not, it’s a holiday!!) You served your piece, licked all the frosting off the blueberries (then spit them out) and took a second piece!

We got packed & went on the boat all day. We stopped at West Marine to get you a new life jacket because the one you have now is getting to be small on you. You were trying to buy everything in the store! You ended up with a rainbow inflatable as well. When we go to the dock, you were trying to carry your light up sword and flag from yesterday and the apple you were snacking on, so you put the apple in your mouth to carry it. You crack me up!

On the boat, you were snooping through my bag for snacks and found the Frozen water squirt toys I bought you. You were sooooo excited about them! We anchored off the Ringling Bridge to eat lunch, went by the lot & then anchored at a sandbar to swim. You snoozed for a little bit then got in the water. We had a ton of fun, then a storm started to roll in, so we raced back to the dock. We made it just in time!

We warmed up pizza leftovers for dinner after showering. While your pizza was cooling down you got out crackers to snack on. I asked if you wanted cheese for the crackers. You of course said yes. When you were eating you said “mama you have the best ideas ever!” I said the best snack ideas? “Yes mama.” While you were eating, you came over, hugged me and said “Mama, you are the best mama in the world!” Of course, you melt my heart. I love you so much!!!

I showed you the pictures of Kingston & Baby Olivia with a 4th of July setting and props. I asked you if you wanted to go to Katrina’s to take pictures. You said yes. You ran to your room to put your “Merica” outfit on. You came back out in a sparkly dance skirt, flannel shirt & your unicorn slippers lol. I told you we have to go tomorrow morning because she had already left for the night. You said ” I’m gonna be snoozing in the morning and not able to wake up!”

We made cookies and watched Frozen II. Lots of fireworks were going off, so we went outside to watch them. Almost all of the displays this year were cancelled due to COVID, so people were doing their own even more than usual. This kept you up past bedtime and then all the sudden you were grumpy. I took you to bed around 10p and you were out in about 15 minutes.

I love you so much!!!!
