8/2/20 – Perfect For A Little Child…

This morning, we both slept in a little later than usual… We woke up around 8am and you rubbed my hair and said “Good morning Mama! Did you sleep good?” Of course, how could I not, with you by my side! You ran to your room and came back to mine, dressed in your AAA-CPA t-shirt, panties, Frozen dress-up shoes & your flamingo hat! We got up and you helped me make breakfast. You asked for pancakes with syrup (Thanks to Chrissy for introducing syrup to you last weekend at the sleepover lol!) and bacon.

After we ate, we got dressed & headed out to look at some houses to get ideas for our new house. You wanted to wear a fancy dress because we were going to look at fancy houses. You are very aware and excited that we are building a new house. You ask almost every weekend if the house is done yet… we haven’t even received the permit yet! You were so good going through the houses. Of course, you struck up conversation with each Realtor in each property. One that we went in was very European and had a low white leather couch. You were were commenting that “the table is white, the couch is white and this couch is perfect for a little child to sit on!” I about died laughing. When we left that house, you were getting a little hyper and lost your listening ears. We were headed back home & I wanted to stop at one more house. Daddy stayed in the car with you. You told him you wanted to go in and see the house. “I promise I will be a good girl” you said. He said no, you said that before we went into the last house, but you didn’t listen. You were sad, but snoring about a minute later. You ended up napping in the car for 2 hours! While you slept we ran errands. When you woke up (around 5:30!!), I asked you finished which house was your favorite. You said “all the ones that have stairs, those are all cool!”

We made dinner and played checkers (a new fav!). I was worried about you going to sleep because of the long, late nap. We headed to your room around 8p to read books and settle down. Tomorrow is your first day of school so I don’t want you to be tired! We read 5 books – Ferdinand the Bull is tops on your list right now – then played music while I scratched your back. Every time I thought you were asleep, you would squirm. It was about 10p before you finally fell asleep. I gave you about a hundred kisses before leaving your room. I can’t believe a new school year starts tomorrow!

I love you so much!
