8/25/20 – I Lost My Bunny Duckie!

We all went to bed late last night & I finally woke up at 7:40a! I woke you up after I got out of the shower & we all had to hustle to get out the door. You were great when I woke you up & I said you have to get moving because we are late. You got right up, brushed teeth & hair & got dressed, mostly because you wanted to play before we left lol.

You had to eat breakfast on the way since we were running late. the way to school, you were super chatty & telling me lots of stories. You were betting me that Ms. Noelle would be at the gate today instead of Ms. Ida. You were happy to go in & play. You had a great day at school & Ms. Sandy helped you with your Koala Crate project when you got home.

Daddy had to work late, so I took you on a girl’s night date with Chrissy & Baby Olivia. We went to Da Ru Ma & you were so excited to meet them there. You were helping Baby Olivia and feeding her with your chopsticks. It was so sweet.

When we were almost home, you saw Ms. Moe walking the block. You immediately wanted to roll down the windows and you yelled “Hi Ms Moe” out to her. She came up to the car to talk to you. You were so excited about your “bunny duckie” that you got at the restaurant, that you ran out of the car to show her. I didn’t realize that when you ran up to her porch you left it there. When you came back to the sidewalk, while she & I were talking, you ended up walking around the curve where I could no longer see you. She jumped in the car & we drove to get you. You rode home on her lap in the front seat.

When we got inside, you told Daddy all about dinner. You climbed into our bed to snuggle with him & Harold. Then, you were telling Daddy about your bunny duckie and then became extremely upset when you couldn’t find it.

I took you to bed and told you I would go look for it after you fell asleep. You could hardly settle down you were crying so hard. You asked to send a voice message to Ms. Sandy & Grandma Noot, telling them “I lost my bunny duckie, maybe it’s in some driveway somewhere, but it’s nighttime and I’m afraid somebody will take it. I’m sad. Thank you.” While we were in bed trying to relax, Daddy walked the block to try to find it. He loves you so much, he hated to see you so upset. He ended up bringing you a different bunny duckie to keep you company until we could find yours. After you fell asleep, I went to Ms. Moe’s porch just to double check and there was the bunny duckie! It was another late night due to the upset. Poor girl.

I love you so much!
