On the way to school this morning, you wanted to Facetime Aunt Deb & Fed. You told Aunt Deb that “Mamas are sometimes a little bit sad because they don’t want their babies to grow up, but they want them to grow big and strong.” You were telling them all about how you were picked to be the example (pronounced “zample”) for the little kids and to be the line leader in the Bears class. You are so proud of your role & I am so proud of you too! When I dropped you off, you gave me a huge hug & kiss & marched right in to school with Mr. Carter.
I picked you up from school because I had to take you to the Doctor for your annual checkup. When you got in the car, you told me a little about your day, then I asked if you wanted to hear a song. You said “I wanna hear a song from my mouth, not one from the radio.” We called Grandma Weezie to invite her to get ice cream. You told her we are taking Harry on vacation. She asked where we are going. I said Sanibel. You said “I love Santa Claus!”
When we got to the Doctor’s office, you were so independent. You followed all the instructions, stepped right up on the scale, had your blood pressure taken & sailed through the vision test. You told the nurse that your favorite foods were cheese balls, donuts & ice cream! You also told them “I like broccoli. I like apples & bananas, but I don’t like the peel or the strings.” She asked if you exercise. You said “no, but I have a class that’s named gymnastics & I do forward rolls and backward rolls.” She asked if you can swim. You said, yes, but we don’t have a pool. Our new house is gonna have a pool. She asked if you can swim without any help. You said “Yep, not a grown-up, not a kid, not a baby. Not nothing. Zero.” She was cracking up laughing and so was I. You are so confident and capable. I’m in awe of you.
We picked up Grandma Weezie and took her for ice cream. You told her all about your appointment. It’s so fun to see her. She mentioned she was going to have the ice cream for dinner & you wanted to do the same. I explained that she gets to do that because she is a Grandma, but we still have to go home & eat dinner.
Daddy got home shortly after we did & you helped him set the table for dinner. After dinner, we rode bikes. You met Baby Zoe and immediately walked hand in hand with her. You invited yourself into her house to play and made yourself at home. I can’t say it enough…You are so confident and capable. I’m in awe of you. I hope that your confidence is never shaken in yourself. You are a remarkable little lady already.
I love you so much!
