12/4/20 – I Will Miss You Because I Care About You!

You slept all night in your bed. I had to wake you up at 8a! We got dressed and ready to leave. When we were walking out the door to go to school you stuck your head back in and said “Bye Dad. I will miss you because I care about you. You’re my favorite person in the whole wide world. But I just don’t feel like saying that when you’re bad. But now I do because I love you so much. Drive safely. Bye!”

I picked you up at noon from school because we had Santa photos AGAIN. Santa was amazing and you really warmed up to him immediately, more than any other Santa so far. He read to you and when he would try to tell you a story you would tell him “just wait a second, I want to tell you something first.” The elves and the photographer were dying. No one could believe how talkative you were. This was by far our best experience. Judy Lynch was the photographer. When I viewed the images and placed my order, the elves had you in a room watching a movie and eating cookies. She about died when I told her this was our 5th set of photos. Even she thinks I’m crazy!!!! lol.

We had to run back to my office for a quick cash closing. You called Jackie and Elizabeth. When I started to talk to you you told Elizabeth “sorry, Mom keeps interrupting me!” You decorated my flamingos and scammed Lisa out of a cookie lol. While I was in the closing, Daddy called my phone to see if he could come get you. You answered the phone and he asked you if you wanted him to pick you up. You said, “Um, yeah, but can we watch squishy stuff videos on my phone.” He picked you up and you two had a snuggly lovey bit of time together before I got home. Daddy made chicken wings for us and dinner was ready when I got home! What a great surprise!!

I got this message in the school sandbox app today.

“We have been busy little elves this week as we used presents as building blocks creating Santa’s village. Expanding our vocabulary and letter recognition with holiday words. Using our fine motor and creativity as we trim our tree and create stain glass window decor. We also experimented with magnets and jingle bells to create a holiday tree.

I am so proud of all my bears and their letter sound recognition. They came up with 20 words on Thursday that started with the letter D! And throughout each day they are recognizing words that start with that sound!”

After dinner we played in the toy room and when I got in there you had built an amazing structure with your magnets. You were signing Frozen and Christmas songs with Daddy in the living room. We read books in bed starting around 8:30p. I was hoping you would settle down early, but you were wiggly and squirmy. Even though you had no nap and lots of excitement, you didn’t fall asleep until almost 10!

I love you so much!
