3/13/21 – Lambs, Bunnies & Saturday Sitters!

You woke up relatively early this morning (7am) and took a shower with me before getting dressed, playing a little with you paw patrol people and having some breakfast. Daddy took you to gymnastics and the whole way there you were looking for me. You kept asking if that was my car! Daddy told you “we completely smoked Mommy. She had to get gas.” When I got to the gym, I went upstairs to watch you. Somehow you noticed immediately! You were waving at me yelling “Hi Mommy!” and then you were basically done with the class. There was a substitute coach that was a man I had never seen there before. You were doing back bends and you were doing lunges on the balance beam. You were doing a great job, then you fell apart the last few minutes and looked at me up in the balcony and said “I would like to leave now.” I tried to reassure you there were only 2 minutes left but you looked stressed. I came downstairs to get you and see what was going on. When I got downstairs your class was lined up to get their stickers. You started crying so I thought maybe the Coach said you weren’t allowed to have a sticker because you weren’t listening. Once you got your sticker and came off the gym floor, you were super upset and telling us that one of the friends pushed you really hard. I didn’t see what happened, but I was surprised you were this upset. I heled talk through it with you and helped you calm down. We got into my car, kissed Daddy goodbye (he went to work) and had some fruit (I was suspicious you were just hungry).

We couldn’t go for fancy breakfast because we had to head to Port Charlotte for a photo session with some baby bunnies. You were super excited for this and have been looking forward to it all week. You patiently waited for your turn in the lobby while practicing writing sight words and continuing to have snacks. You even shared your long skinny crackers with the other kids who were waiting. The look on your face when you actually saw the bunnies was priceless. You immediately asked if you could hold them and they let you. You must have said “awwwww” a hundred times!

Our time at the bunny photos took longer than I anticipated, so we headed straight to Venice to take the lamb photos. We were 15 minutes early and she wasn’t shooting anyone so she took us early. The lambs were adorable! She also had a big bunny there too!! I can’t wait to get the actual photos back! I snapped a few with my phone at both places! We were done in about 20 minutes (sooner, but you stayed to play with the animals and feed the bunny).

We found a burger place for lunch on the way home. We were both starving. You brought your Puzzle Buzz and paper and we wrote more sight words until our food came.

On the drive home you asked me if you had to take a nap in the car. I said no and you were very happy about that. You wanted to send long silly text messages to Daddy, Ms. Sandy & Grandma Weezie. The when we were almost home you said “why are all these people texting me? I’m outta breath texting all these people! Then you said “can I text Grandma Weezie?” I said “but I thought you were done texting?” You said “no I just needed to get a breath.”

We had time to play for a while at home before getting ready for Saturday sitters. As soon as you walked in the door you stripped off all your clothes and put on your nightgown because you were so excited for Saturday Sitters. I asked you to lay in bed with me to see if you could at least rest and relax a bit. That lasted like 15 minutes. We went to your room and played Paw Patrol.
