4/2/21 – Take A Picture!

I didn’t think you were going to want to get up today. I was right lol. I was going to let you stay home from school today, but when you realized you could go but I would pick you up BEFORE nap time, you wanted to go. So, I took you to school & you wanted to grab a donut, but we were running too late so I promised you one after.

Daddy & I picked you up at noon. When we pulled up your class as doing Easter egg hunt. We could hear the kids squealing and then heard Ms. Amber lining you all up for a group photo. It made me tear up. I’m so happy you have had such a wonderful experience at Discovery Days and it’s bittersweet as your graduation approaches. We have really wrestled with where to send you for Kindergarten. It’s nearly impossible to duplicate the amazing environment in which you got to start your first experience with school. I talked to Ms. Marian for a few minutes at the gate. You got in the car w Daddy while I was talking you told him “look at Mommy, she’s so beautiful!” When he told me that when I got back in the car it melted my heart. You sang to us on the way to lunch.

We went to lunch at The Point on the water in Osprey. We hadn’t been there yet and it’s right on the water so I thought it would be good to try. You had fun collecting rocks and serving as the mayor of the restaurant lol.

You fell asleep in the car on the ride home and we parked in the driveway to let you snooze as long as possible. I went in to grab the snack bag and pack your tennis gear. You woke up sooner than I expected so we changed and headed to tennis. You had a great lesson and Coach Killigrew hid some tennis balls like Easter eggs and you had to find them in between drills. He does a great job keeping the learning fun!

We headed home & had dinner. Grandma Noot came to join us. When we finished eating, we went to Michael’s to get some rocks to paint gold for your pirate party. You had all kinds of animals spread all over the floor playing with them in the middle of the aisle. You conned Grandma Noot into buying you a lion. You wanted two, but we only got one. She lobbied hard for you to get an animal you didn’t already have, but lost!

When we got home, you showed Daddy all the stuff we got. When you pulled out the barstool to climb up in it, the base of the stool cut your toe. You were crying and said “My toe is gushing blood!” It was a small cut but was big on drama. I brought you a bandaid and a pillow to the couch because you asked me to “elevate my foot please mama!” You asked if we could stay on the couch and watch a movie because it is gushing blood. I said no, which was unpopular, because we have gymnastics tomorrow at 9a. I took you to your bed and you finally fell asleep after 10p!

I love you so much!
