7/12/21 – I Learned How To Do That Years Ago!

You slept all night in your bed and woke up around 8a. Of course, you immediately wanted to get Treeko out, so you came to my room dressed in your swimsuit and teeth brushed in order to ensure that would happen lol. I took the week off work and kept you out of camp so we could have some summer fun! You wanted to stay home and watch movies with Treeko, but I finally got you motivated after breakfast to head to the pool.

We were swimming at the Meadows and you were showing me all the tricks you can do. I was praising you and you said “I learned how to do that years ago!” We brought buckets and “sold” fresh pool water buckets to anyone who went by lol. There was a kids camp that came for a little while so at one point there were tons of kids. When they stopped for lunch you asked if you could eat lunch with the camp. We ordered grilled cheese.

All of a sudden you said, “ok I’m ready to go home.” The rain was coming too, so we packed up, headed home, took a shower and of course got Treeko out. You were sitting on the couch holding him and you asked to watch “Information about Octopuses” shows. You are hooked on documentaries on Curiosity Stream and Youtube about octopuses. You are amazing how much you love to learn about anything that interests you. So I put it on while I got ready to get us out the door to Spanish.

When we got to the office you called Jackie to tell her about your “illegal leopard” outfit and you told her to come visit. In Spanish, you were showing me how well you know the alphabet and I was so impressed!

After Spanish, we called Daddy on the way home. We decided to go to dinner & take Daddy to man night. While we waited for our food, you gave all of us very thorough medical exams of our hearts and temperatures. You have been dragging our home thermometer with us everywhere for a few weeks and now you’ve added some air pump you found to your repertoire. The plastic stethoscope from your vet bag rounded out your tools!

Then we headed to Nordstrom Rack. My intention was to return a few things, but you advised you wanted to go to “do performances.” You like to try on many different shoes “backstage” (meaning in the aisle and I can’t look) then you come out and sing a song (in gibberish foreign language) while dancing. I will always take you for this because you love it and you shine! It always costs me two pair of shoes but it’s well worth it!

We went home and after a little time with Treeko we headed to bed. You were so sweetly sleeping that I didn’t want to leave you.

I love you so much!
