7/8/21 – This Is The Best Day Of My Life!

You slept in your room all night. Daddy finally went to wake you up around 8a. You came out into the living room, asked me to hold you and told me that you wanted to go back to bed because you didn’t get enough sleep! You finally got dressed and we headed to Ms. Michelle’s office. When I told you we were going there you excitedly said “Ms. Michelle with the swing in her house? YAHOOOOO!” You did great with her and we ran to take a new passport photo since yours needs to be renewed. I was trying to kill a little time because they poured the concrete slab at our lot today and I wanted to take you to put your hand and foot prints in the garage! As we turned down the street, the builder texted me and said they need at least another hour or two. So I took you to camp until they confirmed they were ready for us.

When they were finally ready for us, we ran over and picked the perfect spot to put your hand and foot prints. At first, it was too wet and soupy, so we sat in the car for about 30 minutes until it dried a little more. You were so excited and said “this is the best day of my life!” I will never forget this day and am so happy we got to do this. We cleaned you up and headed to my office for Spanish!

After Spanish we ran to gymnastics and you did great on the bars and cartwheels tonight! You are sooooo strong! When we finished, we made pizza at home for dinner. You wanted to get a pair of Frozen headphones when we were at Walgreens getting your passport photo. I let you because headphones were on the school supply list. I told you that you would have to put them in your new bookbag and wait to use them, but you were persistent, so you ended up getting to try them watching Finding Dory on my computer. When you finished, we all took a bike ride and rode 6 more laps around the block. We saw Ms. Mo and you told her all about Kindergarten graduation and your hand prints at the house!

We headed inside, you of course wanted a snack and then we headed to your room to read books. You were fussing at me, squirming and not wanting me to touch you. Then you started asking for Daddy. Usually, you just play and squirm with him, but you wouldn’t stop so I told you to go get him. You did and he came. He sat in the chair with you and whispered to you about calming your body and closing your eyes. In less than a minute, you were BOTH snoring! I have no idea when the last time you fell asleep on him in the chair like this but it was great to capture this one more time. I also can’t believe how long you are now compared to Daddy!

I love you so much!
