This morning, I dropped you off in the car line because you wanted to exercise your independence and walk up to school without me. Ugh… another kick in the gut, but I’m happy to see your self-confidence growing daily. It also eliminates the opportunity for you to get upset when we separate at the gate. I pulled over out of traffic to watch you for just a minute more just to be sure you were ok & headed in the right direction. Letting go, even something as small as this, is really hard for me.
Daddy picked you up from school and you guys went to the house. You asked him why these walls are in the garage. You said “how are you going to park your car in here?” You came home and went lizard hunting (and met with success) while I made dinner.
After we finished, we went to Michael’s to get gems and supplies for your ABC vest. You of course wanted to get another Mama & Baby like Culver & Curtis the lions. You chose a white tiger set. As soon as we got home, you ran to show Daddy & said “wait til you see what I got! You’re gonna pee your pants!” You guys played for a little while until it was time to head to bed. We read some more Pixar 5 minute stories and this weeks reader from school. You rolled over, asked me to scratch your back and drifted off to sleep a few minutes after we stopped reading.
I love you so much!
