You came to my room around midnight. I was nervous to snuggle with you because I don’t want to get you sick, so I put Hank between us & I flipped over to face the opposite direction. You woke up at 6a and I took Hank out to pee. We laid back down and you finally fell back to sleep. When you woke up around 8:10a you came out to the living room, hugged Hank and said hi to Aunt Deb (I was talking to her on the phone). All of a sudden it was quiet and I went to check on you. You had climbed back into bed and fallen back to sleep. I thought it was odd but 6 was awfully early for you to wake up. I couldn’t tell if I should send you to school or not. I tried to get you dressed and you were freezing, which is super unusual. I had to put all of you clothes on under the covers while you were still in bed. I was more concerned about sending you. You said you stomach and head hurt. I asked if you wanted to stay home. You said yes. I told you that you could, but if we didn’t go today, we can’t go to the winter carnival on Friday. You popped up, brushed teeth and hair and we headed out the door. You didn’t want to get out at car line either. I should have known. Ms. Wolleon texted me around 10a to say you have been crying and saying your head and tummy hurt. I came immediately to pick you up. You looked so uncomfortable & I felt so bad for even sending you. We came home, you snuggled on the couch and watched TV barely moving. I offered you something to eat or drink a million times. Finally around 1:30p you popped up and requested cheese pizza. You wanted to go to Il Panificio so I took you. On the way, you were dozing off. I still got the pizza, just in case, but we headed to the dog track to get you a rapid COVID test. You slept a good bit and I had to wake you for the test, which didn’t make you very happy, but we hurried back home. When we got home you went to the bathroom and you came out and announced, “Mom! You were right! I just had to poop!” and you felt perfectly fine the rest of the day!!! You had some of your pizza and I made veggie stew. We took a few laps around the block in the wagon, spent a LOT of time on your new Disney Princess sticker book – there’s lots of little blurbs to read which is great! We Facetimed with Ms. Sandy & Aunt Deb. We also got to FaceTime with Daddy for a few minutes in bed. We called but missed him shortly before, so you sent him a video about how much you missed him. It warms my heart. You were so sweet today. When we were working in the sticker book, you would just put your arm around me or rub my hand and kiss it. I absolutely would be lost without you.
I love you so much!
