5/18/22 – Skinny Dipping

This morning, you had to see Dr. Mac. While we were in the waiting room, two kids came in. You immediately went up to them and introduced yourself. That’s huge growth as that was one area you used to be really shy in. You have grown so much this year. Once again, you had no cavities and Dr. Mac said all your teeth are set to come in nicely. Your 6 year molars are already in too! They let you choose two prizes from the prize box and at the check out one of the ladies asked which color lizard you chose. You immediately got that grin on your face, stalled for a moment, then told her you chose yellow. I knew right then you had WAY more than 2 prizes…lol. When we got to the car I saw you had the bag filled almost half full!!! You enjoy a good sneak that’s for sure. On the way to school, we stopped at Panera to get a muffin and you were so excited that we could still go, even if it made us a few minutes late to school!

After school, we ran home, packed for the condo and met Daddy for dinner at Columbia. You were so chatty with the server and so good at dinner. After, we walked to Kilwin’s for a quick ice cream then rushed to the condo to catch sunset. You swam in your clothes because we didn’t have time to change into your suit and then you skinny dipped in the pool! In the elevator on the way up, Jimmy’s Dad was there and he said Jimmy was swimming naked yesterday!! Crazy kiddos! You took a quick shower and we headed to bed. You went to kiss Daddy goodnight and brought him to bed with us. We read a story and listened to a meditation and you were out in no time.

I love you so much!

5/15/22 –

This morning we snuggled and played letting Daddy sleep in for a little bit. We FaceTimed with Grandma Noot & wrote a message to Ms. Sandy in the books we got her for Mr. Dean. You chose your message and I only helped with spelling. I’m so proud of your for being so thoughtful yo her during this difficult time. You had breakfast and then finally put on your swimsuit. We went to Target to get a gift and Daddy took you to Aiden Chiappone’s birthday pool party. After dinner, we took a bath and headed to bed early. You were sleeping by 8:30p after one book and during your first meditation!
I love you so much!

5/14/22 – First Rays Game

This morning you woke up and showered with me. I ran to meet a friend for breakfast. You stayed and had breakfast with Daddy. You guys went to pick up the cake and I met you at Aunt Deb’s for her birthday party. You played with Lawson Adams and Max Dalmau. You guys jumped on the trampoline, hung on the hammock and ran through the yard. You were barefoot the whole time, which I couldn’t believe. You NEVER want to step in grass even with shoes on let alone barefoot!!!! You wanted to swim. Of course, I didn’t have a suit, so you swam in panties. You guys had so much fun. Fed gave you a Joseph book for your birthday and played some songs on the piano for you and sang to you. We headed out to go home & get ready to leave for the Rays game. You told me when we got home “guess what Mom? I kissed Max!”

We got tickets for your first Rays Game through school. On the way in, you pulled out the cocoa cashews out of my purse at security so they made me throw them away. You were upset and crying when we walked in. One of the Rays ladies came up to ask why you were crying. I told her what happened and she took us to an office and gave you a Rays pop it. It was such a nice surprise! You got a hot dog & M&Ms and we headed to our seats. We also grabbed popcorn (you were trying to get a pretzel and skittles too lol). The entire time you looked for Ms. Wolleon. She came down to see you twice in our seats and we got to meet her Mom & her little brother. We went to touch the rays in the tank & you got mad because the tank was deep and the rays were hard to reach. We took a break and walked upstairs to look down on them and regroup. We saw Ms. Wolleon up there and you were so excited. You asked her to ride the escalator with you. I whispered in your ear “do you want to buy her an ice cream?” You smiled so big and I handed you my credit card. You came back with a helmet full of cotton candy Dippin Dots. You are always fascinated with cotton candy and it is the one thing I will ALWAYS say no to! We left & headed home because you were tired from being out late last night & the game wasn’t holding your attention at all. When we got home, we headed straight to bed and you were asleep before the end of the one meditation.

I love you so much!

5/13/22 – 100% For The Last Time in Kindergarten

On the walk up to school this morning you wanted to go slow and walk on each rock. Usually, I’m rushing you to get in the gates, but today we had extra time and I just wanted to soak it in. I can’t believe there’s only 2 weeks of school left. You gave me a huge hug and walked in the gates. I will miss this routine. I love our mornings together.

All year, you wanted to go to after care. Today, I had to go to a client’s Dad’s memorial service, so I let you go to after care while I went. You had so much fun. When I picked you up, you told me you got another 100% on your last sight word test of Kindergarten – it was list 7 of the 1st grade list! To celebrate, you wanted to go downtown. We went to dinner at Patrick’s, walked around downtown, we rode the Bay Runner trolley to St. Armand’s for ice cream at Kilwin’s. When we were walking around and you were chatting everyone up. There was a lady waiting on an Uber and you were asking her “do you know what flavor I got?” & you were telling her all about your ice cream. It was so funny. You are so interesting & I love to watch you interact with people. We rode the trolley back downtown and headed home. By the time we got home, it was 10:30p. We brushed teeth, climbed in bed and I massaged your back. You were snoring in 2 minutes.

I love you so much!
