6/5/21 – You Are Such An Expert!

You woke up this morning, climbed on top of Daddy and shouted “It’s Saturday Sitters!!!!” You immediately popped up out of bed and announced that you were going to put on your jammies. I told you that Saturday Sitters isn’t until 5:30p so you could wear regular clothes in the meantime. You wanted to watch Raya again this morning. Bianca came over to swim after she finished T-Ball.

We went to the Meadows and had a blast. It started to rain just as our lunch arrived so we ate under the covered patio and it cleared up just as we finished. You and Bianca ran back to the pool. You told Becky to help you look for the pink & purple sunscreen in pool because “you are such an expert!” You were plastering the sunscreen all over your face, Bianca’s and all the kids in the pool. You guys made friends with a little girl, Victoria, and her brother, who are here for two months from Peru. You were speaking Spanish with her and it was so cute!

We packed up and headed home around 4:30p to take bath with Bianca. I couldn’t get all the pink sunscreen off your face!!! You hugged Bianca goodbye and we headed out. Tonight is your very last Saturday Sitters!

When we got home you fought Daddy with the bubble wand as a sword Raya style. I was looking at you both like hey that’s not the way to get ready for bed!!!! I took you to my bed and we were both out in no time!

6/4/21 – Fat Donkey Please!

When I picked you up this afternoon, you ran up and hugged me. We stopped for ice cream at Fat Donkey after school. We ate for a bit at a table inside, then you wanted to sit outside on a bench. You were chatty with people who walked by and even went into the shop next door to ask how much a tote bag was that I thought was cute for Marina.

When we finished our ice cream we headed to the lot to check out the progress and drove past Bay Haven. The playground there looks so nice and there were kids out playing. You asked if we could stop and play with them. Unfortunately, we can’t get onto the school grounds yet.

We went home and made stir fry for dinner. Today, the movie Raya & The Last Dragon became available on Disney+ so we watched that while we had dinner. My plan was to start the movie after dinner, but you were too excited to wait. I’m glad we did because you were tired from a long week so you were asleep relatively early for a Friday night, shortly after 9p.

6/3/21 – I Made My Own Breakfast!

You slept in and ran out to the kitchen with your arms in the air… You went and got dressed – in a T-shirt, shorts, high St. Patrick’s Day socks and a winter hat! You came back to the kitchen and insisted you could make your own breakfast while I dried my hair. When I came back out you had gotten out your step stool, two bowls from the cabinet, the toaster, the loaf of bread from the pantry, had toasted two slices of bread and put a tomato on top of each slice in each bowl. You proudly showed me the breakfast you made! You told me you made your own breakfast so I didn’t have to spend time doing it!

I picked you up from school & we had to run back to my office for a few minutes because I was finishing a closing with Lisa Wallace. Daddy came to pick you up at the office and took you home. We ate, you changed into your “illegal leopard” dress and boots and then dropped Daddy off at man night. We ran into TJ Maxx to get some organizing bins for the pantry. You helped pick them out, loaded the cart and unloaded at the register. You took my card and paid. I love how confident you are. You chat up adults and are so interested in handling things yourself. I love that about you!

We headed home & got in bed a little later than we should have, but it was totally worth it!!!

6/2/21 – The Most Fantastic Winner!

When I got out of the shower, you were laying upside-down in my bed absolutely unwilling to move lol. You were excited for water Wednesday though, so once you realized that’s what today was, you flew out of bed and got ready. I picked you up from school and when we got home, you found an old NYPD car set that I bought for you a few years ago that you never opened. You wanted to get it out and play outside. The weather was perfect so we did. You showed everyone who walked by, especially Franklin. Mosquitos came out, so we went in! We watched a little tv, played then read books in bed. You were out in 15 minutes or so.

6/1/21 – I’m Sure You Know How To

The ride to school was filled with songs, writing cards and you wearing your princess crown. When we pulled in the parking lot, you ran over to Cessie Leiter and you guys gave each other a huge hug! It was so sweet.

After school, you asked for macaroni & cheese so I made you some. You were very happy about that!!! You were still fired up about Marble Run from when you and Daddy were playing. You were trying to build a huge set in the middle of the kitchen while I was trying to cook lol. I thought you were telling me you needed Daddy to help you with a certain part of the marble run but you thought I was capable lol. We worked on it together, played a little longer then headed to bed. You were out by 8:30p after reading books and doing a couple of meditations.

5/31/21 – Memorial Day Poolside!

This morning you wanted to wear your illegal leopard outfit and matching boots. We built all sorts of magnet castles, played with your animals and made breakfast.

Bianca came to swim with us at the Meadows. We swam all day then I had to leave a little earlier than you guys because I had FUPPA dinner and boat ride for the girls birthdays. I left to get ready. Just as I was about to leave, you guys came home because it started to rain a little. Daddy made burgers on the grill and Bianca stayed to play for a little while longer. I got home after you went to bed, but I’m so happy you got to have a fun pool day!

5/30/21 – Mermaid Races!

Chrissy took you and Sadie to church then brought you home after.
I ran out for a morning massage. When I got home you had Harold in the garage trying to put his leash on. He walked out of the garage when I opened the door and you were crying. I thought you were mad but when you settled down you told me you were scared he would get run over.

When we got inside and settled down, I had you lay in bed with me and watch tv for a little bit, hoping you would fall asleep for a quick nap. That didn’t happen and you only laid with me for 15-20 minutes. Then you ran to put your swimsuit on and put a bunch of temporary tattoos on to show off at the pool!

Chrissy, Olivia, Katrina & Kingston met us at the Meadows to swim after Olivia napped. One of the girls that’s there a lot had gotten a mermaid fin like yours so the two of you had a bunch of mermaid races. You even made me race you guys! Daddy was throwing you in the air and you laughed very hard all day. It started to get late and everyone was getting hungry so we ordered pizza to be delivered to the Meadows because the restaurant was closed. As soon as the pizza arrived, a huge thunderstorm rolled in. We ate on the covered patio and when we finished it was all done! That did end our swim though so we headed home.

You fell asleep in Daddy’s arms watching tv in the chair around 8pm. That was the end of you for the night. You were up late last night and played hard today. You looked so sweet and peaceful. I put you in bed and kissed you a hundred time.

5/29/21 – I’ll Try…But I Don’t Like It!

Daddy made you a bagel for breakfast and you guys were doing all sorts of crafts and games. You showed him all your schoolwork and the results of your seed observation this week. Marcela came this morning to pick me up so she and I could go to IKEA in Tampa. You stayed and played with Daddy. You guys built a huge marble run and had a ton of fun doing it! When I got home you couldn’t wait to show it to me!

When I got home we ate lunch then met Chrissy, Olivia & Sadie at the Meadows to swim. Daddy & I left a little early because I had to take him to a poker game in Parrish & I met Grandma Noot for dinner. When you finished swimming, Chrissy took you for a sleepover at her house. She kept me updated with the funny things you were going. You had a popsicle and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich – one in each hand at the same time! You had so much fun with Sadie. You guys played a little at the pool, but once you got to Chrissy’s house, the two of you really hit it off. You wanted to sleep with her and Chrissy asked me if it was ok. I said fine as long as you actually sleep, but she fell asleep long before you!!! Chrissy told you it was about time for bed & you told her “but you didn’t give me any dinner!” Chrissy reminded you that you had a grilled cheese, a bowl of fruit, a PBJ, 2 popsicles and popcorn. You said “but I’m still hungry!” so she gave you chicken broccoli rice casserole. She couldn’t believe it!! You told her “I have to take my underwear off because Mommy would be mad if I left them on.” Chrissy said “ok take them off.” You said “well I normally sleep naked.” Chrissy said “well we aren’t going to sleep naked tonight.” You replied “Ok. I’ll try and sleep with my jammies on but I don’t like it.” lol.
