slept in until 930. Daddy picked up Harry at the vet. We stayed home all day because Harry was sleeping and we needed to keep an eye on him. Daddy ran out to get a few things for Harry and when he came back he surprised you with an Ariel and Rapunzel doll because you were soooo good yesterday. You were speechless when he handed them to you. It was so sweet it moved me to tears. I love how he is so thoughtful with you (with both of us of course) and how he shows you how important you are. It warmed my heart.

Slept in until 8a and you ran into our room, climbed in bed and snuggled with Daddy. He tickled you and you guys played for a few minutes. We got up & read books in your room. We read so long that we had only a few minutes to get ready & out the door for Spanish. I dropped you off & 15 minutes later Ms. Ida texted me that she found lice on your head. I about died. I immediately went to pick you up, called Chrissy & got a game plan together to help you. Chrissy came over and you sat so still while she combed trhough your hair from 1:30p-11:30p with only a few breaks and then a quick break for left overs for dinner and a bubble show! While I was giving you a bath, Daddy noticed Harry shaking his head and that his ears were red. He had to rush him to animal ER and he had to have surgery on both ears for an ear infection and hematoma in both ears. It was an awful day! I gave you a bath before bed even though it was so late. It was after midnight when we finally got to bed. You were such a trooper. I was so proud of you!

You woke up early this morning and practiced sight words with Grandma Noot during breakfast. We even got to school a few minutes early & took some pictures.
This afternoon was the 1st Quarter Awards for K-2. I didn’t ask you about it because I wanted to surprise you by attending with Grandma Weezie & Ms. Sandy. We were seated in the front row. When you walked in the cafeteria, you were looking around and the look on your face when you saw us was priceless!!!!! You were awarded the Principal’s Excellent Effort Award for your continuous effort, perseverance and can do attitude this quarter at school. Only 2 kids from each class were chosen. Ms. Wolleon gave me a heads up that she nominated you. We were all so proud of you. Daddy was so sad he couldn’t be there since he was still in Orlando, but I took video to send to him! I hope you always apply yourself in this manner at school and in life – you will be absolutely unstoppable! After the ceremony, we went to Pop Kraft to get a popsicle then dropped Grandma Weezie off at my office and grab our stuff.
We headed to gymnastics. You saw a girl you knew from Bay Haven who is a 4th grader. You were showing her your journal and all the entries you had, including about today’s awards & Grandma Noot’s sleepovers this week! Once class got started you were super into it today. When we finished, you wanted to go in with Baby Olivia’s class to help the teacher for a few minutes. We stayed the entire class!!! The two of you are so cute together!
I was tired and wanted to head home, but you wanted to stop at Mi Pueblo to celebrate & you said “I want to spend time with just you Mama.” We did, you were chatty with the staff and super adorable. You signed your name on the check and wrote Gracias. We headed home & saw Mr. Franklin walking by. You ran out to talk to him and tell him all about what you have been up to. You also shared the beginning of your Christmas list with him advising that you want a “real Ruldolph the red nose reindeer, a lizard, a frog and a basset puppy that will follow me around.” When I told you earlier today that the reindeer is too big for the new house, you told me we would just get rid of him when he got big. We had a chat about how and why that’s not cool! Grandma Noot came home while we were chatting so we all headed in together. We brushed teeth and climbed in bed. You were snoring before I could even read a book to you!

This morning you flew out of bed and ran to the kitchen at 7:45a. You were so excited to get dressed because today is the 50th day of school and Ms. Wolleon is having a 50’s themed sock hop party to celebrate. You were so excited to wear your costume. When we got to school, you loved showing your dress to everyone. Micha walked up and you guys went in together happily. Ms. Wolleon sent me a cute picture of the two of you together looking like twins!!!!

Even though you were asleep by 9p last night, I could NOT get you up this morning. It was almost 8:20a by the time you got out of bed. We were running late getting out of the house. Grandma Noot helped get you ready and we headed out the door. Today you brought the snack & your new Moana doll for show & tell. We got to school at 9:12a, so I dropped you off in the car line so you wouldn’t be late. Ms. Brusoe helped you out of the car and you walked up with her arm around you. You looked so cute walking in. I had to hang back and watch you go in. I love when your day starts off like this!
I went to get my Moana nails today and you were so excited when you saw them when I picked you up. You noticed them as soon as you walked out of school and hugged me. You said “Oh my god Mom!!!! Your nails are so awesome!” Of course you chased lizards on the walk back to the car. You told me “today was the best day of school ever!” You were so happy to have brought your Moana doll. You said everyone loved your doll! We ran to my office to pick up your costume for tomorrow then we stopped at Whole Foods for a few quick things for tacos tonight.
Tomorrow is the 50th day of school & Ms. Wolleon is having a 50s themed party. We tried on your costume and I knew it was cute when I ordered it, but when you put it on it was so adorable. I sent your picture to several people including Ms. Wolleon and everyone was loving it. She’s wearing a similar outfit tomorrow! While I made dinner you & Grandma Noot played school. We had tacos and then played a little before heading to bed. You fell asleep by 8:15p while we were reading If I Ran The Zoo.

You woke up early today around 7a because you were so excited to see what your surprise was. You wanted to get dressed and go see if Jackie was awake. We packed our suitcase and headed downstairs. Jackie woke up before we left and you were so lovey dovey with her, hugging her and telling her you didn’t want to leave her. You invited her to girls night at our house tomorrow. We hit the road by 8:30a and you had no idea that we were headed to LegoLand. You were excited that we got to skip school today to have fun!
When we were driving and you saw the LegoLand sign, you were talking and stopped in your tracks & said “ooooohhhhhh LegoLand!!! I knew that’s where we were going!!” LegoLand had it’s 10th birthday party this weekend & all the Halloween stuff was up. The place was a complete ghost town & we had no lines all day. It was so perfect. We finally caught the water ski show and ate lunch while we watched the show. You have been wanted the unicorn shield & sword for several visits, so we got one today! You were so happy to have it! You were looking droopy & I thought you would perk up after lunch but you didn’t. You were still tired so we left around 4p and headed home. On the ride home you fell asleep around 4:30p & slept all the way home after 6p. I unloaded the car then came to get you out of the car seat. You were so limp in the seat that when I pick you up your head about rolled off my shoulder. I brought you in the living room and sat with you on the couch. Grandma Noot was there and was rubbing your head. You finally rallied and got up. You snuggled with her on the couch watching Moana while I ran to Whole Foods real quick. We had soup, grilled cheese sandwiches & charcuterie for dinner. Daddy left for Orlando today for a trade show, so you got to sleep in my bed, which you were really happy about. I was concerned about you going to bed because you napped so long so late, but you were asleep by 9p. When I got up to leave the room you said “Mom…where are you going?” Busted! I told you I was just to turn the lights off in the kitchen. You fell right back to sleep and were snoring soooo loud! This weekend was so perfect, so exactly what we both needed. We had a great amount of down time, at the beautiful beach just relaxing with our friends. I wish Daddy could have come with us, but it was still such a great time. I’m so glad we blew off school today and had so much fun at Legoland. The weather was perfect & so was the day. I enjoyed our time together so much!

10/17/21 – We Have To Get Up It’s A Beautiful Day!
You slept until 8a which surprised me. You snuggled with me for a few minutes then said “we have to get up it’s a beautiful day!” You opened the blinds to check out the sunrise. We played dinosaurs and you were pretending you ordered from Whole Foods and the delivery hadn’t arrived. I was the store clerk who had to resolve the issues. Lol. We went downstairs and baby Will was awake so you guys started playing right away.
Will was so tried from yesterday so he stayed home to nap while we headed next door to Wade’s Mom’s house to swim in her pool. You jumped in and right back out because it was freezing. You loved playing with Frank their dog.
We came home, showered & snacked. Daddy called on FaceTime and you told him all about the day. We got ready for dinner with Jackie – Will & Wade drove back to Orlando. We went to a cool place called The Garlic. There was a guy playing a rhinestone covered saxophone. You were fascinated with it and wanted to dance.
We grabbed ice cream after dinner. I told you how my Dad used to take me for ice cream & I would get a chocolate dip cone with eyeballs. You couldn’t believe they had eyeballs for ice cream! We went home & went right upstairs. We called Daddy on FaceTime. You said “awww are you watching the Steelers game? Are you at the Wolfpack? ” Daddy was at Chiappone’s and then Isabella was in the frame. You said, “Hi Abella. I’m so happy to see you!”
We turned off the lights, sang songs & you were sleeping by 9:15p. You have really slept well here. You’ve gone to bed on time and got up at your regular time. You’ve gotten good rest – we both have. I can’t wait to surprise you tomorrow!
