last night I was up until 1244a. As soon as I laid in bed you came to my room to cuddle up. You went immediately back to sleep. I love rubbing your head and kissing you as you drift back to sleep
Sandy picked you up. You did your new toy story Lego set w her. Aunt deb came over to drop something off and you were happy to show off your work.
Jackie came today so Sandy brought you to my office so we could go out for dinner. You excitedly ran to me and said guess whos here mama?!! Daddy!
we went to marina jack. On the way you told Jackie about your boyfriends. Being sure to make clear to her they are not real just pretend lol
after dinner we went to the lot then home to sit outside by the fire for a little bit. Daddy tried to take you to bed but around 1015 you ran back outside naked and told me “I only want to go to bed w daddy when you are out at FUPPA night!” Lol
I took you to bed and you were out about 15
min later. We stayed up chatting and you came out to the kitchen around mindnight and climbed in my arms. I took tou to bed w me
Although you were up so late last night, I went to your room, climbed in bed and snuggled with you to wake you up around 7:30a. You curled up into mem wrapped your arms around my neck and said “Mama I love you to the Moon, the Sun, to Mars, to Juniper (not Jupiter lol) and all the way back to my heart!” You got up, showered with me and saw Daddy off to work. You were trying to teach him “mi escuelita” but got frustrated that he wasn’t catching on lol. When we were getting in the car you were sad to leave Harry and consoled him before we left telling him “they don’t allow dogs at school or at work. Oh Buddy! I’m so sorry Buddy!”
I got this message in the SandBox App today:
Giovanna used onset and rhyme to brainstorm words for her hen’s nest of eggs! nice job, Giovanna!
Ms Sandy picked you up from Spanish. When I got home, you asked me if I know what vaca and caballo were. When I answered you, you were surprised and said “Mama, your memory is so great!”
We had a driveway dinner picnic at your request because the weather was so beautiful. We rode about 10 laps around the block on our bikes, came back in for tons of snacks – watermelon, cheese, charcuterie and a fruit bar. You told me “Mama you are the best cooker I have ever had and I would never change you for another cooker! Daddy is the best breakfast cooker.” We headed to bed and you were asleep in about 15 minutes!
I love you so much!
When you finally got up you were happy and doing your jobs. When we were walking out the door you were showing me where we live, where the north pole is and where Hawaii is on the world map that you drew. I told you that you did a great job and you said “thanks, I tried my really best!”
All of a sudden, when we got in the car to head to school, you started saying your belly was hurting and asked to stay home today and not go to school. I said “I’m sorry honey, but we can’t. You have to go to school and I have to go to work.” You replied, “Daddy can watch on me if I’m sick.” You were telling me you wanted to stay home “this day” (instead of today). I told you if you are sick we won’t be able to go to Michael’s to get the big lion you were trying to earn. You asked if we could call Grandma Noot to see if she could go get it lol. We called her and she happily agreed. When we got to school I let Ms. Ida know at the gate that I wasn’t sure if you were really having pain or if you just didn’t want to go to school. I warned Ms. Sandy for pickup to be on the lookout. When I got home from work you told me your belly was all better.
While I made dinner, you and Daddy were drawing pictures with dot markers. That turned into a tickle war and then into a golf ball collection sorting and counting game. We hopped on bikes for a spin around the block before having a snack and heading to bed. We did some sleep meditation but you just couldn’t fall asleep. We went into your room at 8:45p and I left at 10:30p. Even the incentive of earning the lion couldn’t get you to fall asleep. Daddy went in with you and you didn’t fall asleep until 11:15p! I don’t know how you do it!
I love you so much!
You didn’t wake up until 8:30a. You came out to the kitchen looking for a donut and then you realize the Easter Bunny had come. You excitedly examined the contents of each basket.
Easter Lunch with Grandma Weezie, Aunt Deb & Fed. You and Fed rode bikes around the block.
You helped me paint the treasure chest and pirate ship that we bought at Michael’s on Thursday.
You slept in your bed all night. I checked on you about 7:30a and kissed your forehead. I went to get ready for gymnastics and about 15 min later you came into my room looking perky and happy! We headed to gymnastics & you had a great class.
We surprised you and met Ms. Sandy at fancy breakfast. While we were waiting for a table you saw her truck in the parking lot. I couldn’t believe it since you weren’t looking for her. Nothing gets by you! She gave you your Easter basket full of goodies!. You wanted to play w the new lion Grandma Noot got you at Michael’s so we went home after breakfast and played. You took the animals to the bathtub and splashed around for a long time!
We went to Marcela’s for an Easter party. You were the only kid and you were such a trooper. We brought a bunch of your animals and you had a blast. You talked to all the adults and played games with Marcela and her friend Kathee. David Walker loves to play with you too. The last time we had dinner with them he was there. He kept getting you with “something’s on your shirt” pointing to it, getting you to look down and the getting your nose. You giggle so hard and it cracks him up too. He was helping you jump off the top of the lounge chair into the water. I was so scared you were going to fall. You and he thought it was hilarious of course!!! poor mama!
We left around 7p because tomorrow is Easter and everyone is coming at 11am! You made Easter cards for Grandma Weezie, Aunt Deb and Fed. We headed to my bed and you were out in no time. It was a fun but long day!!!
I love you so much!
I didn’t think you were going to want to get up today. I was right lol. I was going to let you stay home from school today, but when you realized you could go but I would pick you up BEFORE nap time, you wanted to go. So, I took you to school & you wanted to grab a donut, but we were running too late so I promised you one after.
Daddy & I picked you up at noon. When we pulled up your class as doing Easter egg hunt. We could hear the kids squealing and then heard Ms. Amber lining you all up for a group photo. It made me tear up. I’m so happy you have had such a wonderful experience at Discovery Days and it’s bittersweet as your graduation approaches. We have really wrestled with where to send you for Kindergarten. It’s nearly impossible to duplicate the amazing environment in which you got to start your first experience with school. I talked to Ms. Marian for a few minutes at the gate. You got in the car w Daddy while I was talking you told him “look at Mommy, she’s so beautiful!” When he told me that when I got back in the car it melted my heart. You sang to us on the way to lunch.
We went to lunch at The Point on the water in Osprey. We hadn’t been there yet and it’s right on the water so I thought it would be good to try. You had fun collecting rocks and serving as the mayor of the restaurant lol.
You fell asleep in the car on the ride home and we parked in the driveway to let you snooze as long as possible. I went in to grab the snack bag and pack your tennis gear. You woke up sooner than I expected so we changed and headed to tennis. You had a great lesson and Coach Killigrew hid some tennis balls like Easter eggs and you had to find them in between drills. He does a great job keeping the learning fun!
We headed home & had dinner. Grandma Noot came to join us. When we finished eating, we went to Michael’s to get some rocks to paint gold for your pirate party. You had all kinds of animals spread all over the floor playing with them in the middle of the aisle. You conned Grandma Noot into buying you a lion. You wanted two, but we only got one. She lobbied hard for you to get an animal you didn’t already have, but lost!
When we got home, you showed Daddy all the stuff we got. When you pulled out the barstool to climb up in it, the base of the stool cut your toe. You were crying and said “My toe is gushing blood!” It was a small cut but was big on drama. I brought you a bandaid and a pillow to the couch because you asked me to “elevate my foot please mama!” You asked if we could stay on the couch and watch a movie because it is gushing blood. I said no, which was unpopular, because we have gymnastics tomorrow at 9a. I took you to your bed and you finally fell asleep after 10p!
I love you so much!
This morning you insisted on wearing the shirt Grandma Noot gave you yesterday. We called her on the way to school to tell her you were so excited to wear it today and to thank her for it. It definitely made her day!
When I picked you up from Spanish, Chrissy called us on the way home and invited us to meet her and Katrina at Lido Beach for sunset. We ran home to change & Daddy wanted to go come with us. On the drive to the beach you were telling Daddy that you had a 12, 11, 10 & 9 year old boyfriend!!! You said you used to babysit them! OMG!
I had a crazy week and was feeling a little overwhelmed, so it was great to go recharge at the beach and take in the beauty. I love doing this with you. It was a little chilly out there so as soon as the sun set we walked to Rico’s for pizza. It was getting late and the line was huge at Kilwin’s, so we headed home, took a quick bath & got to bed at 10.
I love you so much!
Today was another day of you waking up around 8am! You ate your breakfast and did your jobs like a champ. You made your bed and couldn’t wait for me to come check it out! While I packed your lunch, you were talking to your chalks like students in a class and told them they have to be “peace and calmful, ok. Hear me classmates hear me?”
I received this message today in the Sandbox App.
Giovanna was so proud of her sorting abilities today.? She was able to identify and correctly sort animals that are oviparous from those which are not. Good job, G!
We had our annual Dad dinner tonight to celebrate my Dad’s birthday with my friends who lost their Dads too. Jackie wasn’t able to come because Baby Will was sick, but the Romos and Grandma Noot did join us. After we all told stories about our Dads you were walking around the living room saying “I have the best Daddy in the whole world!” Yes you do you lucky little lady! You were working on your art creations and you bellied up to the bar to tell everyone stories. We had dessert outside by the fire.
I love you so much!
This morning, I went to check on you and found you sleeping sideways in your bed. Daddy had to go wake you up at 8am again! On the way to school, we continued our discussion about who you were going to invite to your birthday party and sang Alice the Camel.
When I picked you up from Spanish the first thing you said was “eres tu mi mama?” On the way home, I was telling you we have that book at home!
You felt better today than yesterday. We had a relaxing night at home. You played pretend with your Lion King people while I made stir fry. You ate half of your plate then decided you didn’t like it, which is weird because you love stir fry! After dinner you were telling Alexa to play all kinds of songs and you were singing and dancing. I love these nights with you!
When we jumped in bed, you insisted on sending this video to Ms. Ida. You are so excited about learning Spanish, which I love! I had to “make” you at least cover up a bit with the blanket lol. We snuggled up to read some books and then we did a sleep meditation. You were out in 15 minutes!
I love you so much!
