Both you and Bianca work up around 830
we made pancakes for breakfast
headed to siesta beach. Played hard. Huge waves bc storm
Our little night owls turned into early birds and after feasting on pancakes danced the whole way to the beach ! They swam , played on the playground & jumped in the huge waves. Giovanna passed out under the lifeguard stand while Bianca fought the waves. She said “I never run out of energy!” and boy is she right! The Mamas need some sleep but these ladies had a blast ! Can’t wait to do it again!
you napped on beach for an hour. Didn’t want to get up
Came home showered. Dinner at rusty bucket
came home watched movie. Went to bed early
You slept until almost 830. When are you woke up I asked you if you felt like going to school you said my belly feels better but not better enough to go to school
I took you to my office because I had a zoom call. Miss Sandy came and picked you up when I finished and she finished PT You made everyone at Patrick’s day cards. She took you to have lunch at Bird key park and you guys ate in the bed of her truck
went to Lowe’s to get stuff to plant potatoes.
You were so excited because Bianca was coming to visit it was your first sleepover and Hers too. You pull the chairs off of the porch and sad at the end of the driveway waiting for her
when she arrived she was very excited and said we need to have a midnight feast !
went to bed together snuggling together with arms around each other. but not much sleep. Finally you fell asleep around 1230. Becky took Bianca upstairs at 1245 and it took her another half hour to go to sleep.
Giovanna was so excited for her friend Bianca to come for a Beachy sleepover that she literally sat at the end of the driveway waiting for her to pull up. We caught a beautiful sunset, splashed in the waves , wolfed down pizza and scammed some ice cream ! Bianca got out of the car and announced that she was excited for our “midnight feast!” These little leprechauns are lucky to have found each other! So far, it’s midnight and we haven’t gotten to the sleep portion of the sleepover yet!
After going to bed pretty late, I was startled when I woke up and heard you screaming and crying at 12:40a. When I went in your room you had vomited a large amount in bed and you were so upset. I cleaned you up and brought you to my bed. You vomited every 1-2 hours until about 7am then just two more times the rest of the day. I stayed home from work and had two webinars to teach. You were laying on me on the couch and just looked so pathetic and exhausted. I held your little body until you finally stopped vomiting. I put on a movie for you to watch and I explained to you I would need to go upstairs to do my webinar. You said ok. I kissed you and went upstairs. You yelled up the stairs “hey Mommy…. do a good job ok!?!” Then about half way in you came upstairs and got in the screen. You poor thing you were naked as a jay bird but just didn’t care. You just wanted me. I was wrapping up and came over to sit with you on the chairs. I rubbed your forehead and gently scratched your scalp. You were out in no time and you pretty much slept on me through my next webinar. I didn’t get much sleep either last night and I think I nodded off for a few minutes while holding you. When you woke up and realized I wasn’t up there you got really upset, crying and asking me to come upstairs and carry you down. I muted the webinar (thank goodness Marina was talking at that point) to shout that I am teaching and I can’t come up now. You cried and said “but Mama, I need help!” So of course I ran up and brought you down. You sat on my lap, rested your head on my shoulder and everyone on the webinar said hi to you! When I finished, we laid together again. Ms. Sandy came later because I had to sign one quick client. She sent me a sweet photo and said you asked her to snuggle in your chair, which she hasn’t had the opportunity to do in so many months. I texted her on my way home and she also wasn’t able to get you to try to eat anything. I asked if you might want popsicles and you perked right up so I stopped and got some on the way home. We snuggled and watched a movie in my bed. I hope the worst is behind you and that you feel so much better tomorrow.
I love you so much!
I knew you would have a tough time getting up this morning. Daylight savings always gets you (you are already not an early bird) and you went to bed later than you should have last night. You slept in an hour later, had to eat breakfast in the car and only had 10 minutes from waking to leaving to get dressed, teeth & hair brushed and out the door. We did it and we were only 15 minutes late to school! You finished your eggs in the car and skipped right into school like nothing was up!!!! I love seeing you like this!!!
I met you & Daddy at Da Ru Ma for Olivia’s birthday dinner. As soon as you walked in you ran up to Olivia & handed her the gift and card you brought. You told her “Happy first day of being 2 years old!” You wanted to sit by Chrissy and I’m pretty sure that’s the first time you sat so far away from me during dinner, but you wolfed all your food down! You had two orders of Gyoza, some of my shrimp, lobster, veggies and rice and a bowl of soup. You had your eye on the cupcakes from the start lol!
When we got home it was still daylight so we played a little tennis. Then Mike brought Captain out and you were so excited to play with him. He slobbered on your entire arm and you did not care at all! While we were playing Franklin rode by on his new bike. We got our bikes out and rode a few laps with him. You were in heaven. We went home, headed to bed to read & you were super duper squirmy. I thought you would fall asleep sooner because you didn’t want to get up this morning, but no such luck!!! You finally fell asleep around 10:30p!
I love you so much!
Today the clocks moved forward an hour, so you slept until 9a, but that’s really only 8a! We played Uno (and a variety of games you made up with changing rules that happened to use the Uno cards lol) and then had breakfast. You made a birthday card for Olivia. I overhead you running around singing “I love Coach Killigrew!”
We headed out for your tennis lesson. Daddy got to come watch you today. In the car you were singing “it’s Olivia’s birthday party today but it’s not her birthday. She’s still 1! It’s her last day of being 1!” When we arrived, you said very sweetly “Hi Coach Killigrew!” and he said “step into my office.” Last week it was much cooler than today. You did great again today. You were starting to drip sweat and you were so funny about. You were telling Coach “look at this!” lol. He’s a perfect fit for you. He challenges you, laughs with you and helps keep your attention. I’m grateful we found him.
We stopped home to grab a quick PB&J sandwich to eat on the way to Olivia’s birthday party at Defy. Although you got tired at the end of tennis, you sure were back to full blast the second we walked in the door! You jumped, ran, climbed and tried all sorts of new things. One kid was swinging on a ball. You looked at him and said “Can I try?” You hopped right on it did it perfectly the first try! When the jumping was done, we went back to the party room for food and cake! You insisted on sitting right next to Olivia. You two are so cute together! When we finished we headed home. I was fully expecting you to fall asleep in the car. You made it right until we were pulling into our neighborhood. When we parked you said “oh man, my eyes were starting to close. I almost took a quick nap for a minute!” It was waaaaaaayyyy too late to nap. Between the time change and your hard work you were worn out!
We went inside to take a bath. You were in there for a long time playing happily. You called me when you were ready to wash your hair & also again to get out for a second to poop! lol. We made wings for dinner and watched some Marvel shows. We headed to bed a little while after that. You were not surprisingly snoring within 3 minutes!!!
I love you so much!
You woke up relatively early this morning (7am) and took a shower with me before getting dressed, playing a little with you paw patrol people and having some breakfast. Daddy took you to gymnastics and the whole way there you were looking for me. You kept asking if that was my car! Daddy told you “we completely smoked Mommy. She had to get gas.” When I got to the gym, I went upstairs to watch you. Somehow you noticed immediately! You were waving at me yelling “Hi Mommy!” and then you were basically done with the class. There was a substitute coach that was a man I had never seen there before. You were doing back bends and you were doing lunges on the balance beam. You were doing a great job, then you fell apart the last few minutes and looked at me up in the balcony and said “I would like to leave now.” I tried to reassure you there were only 2 minutes left but you looked stressed. I came downstairs to get you and see what was going on. When I got downstairs your class was lined up to get their stickers. You started crying so I thought maybe the Coach said you weren’t allowed to have a sticker because you weren’t listening. Once you got your sticker and came off the gym floor, you were super upset and telling us that one of the friends pushed you really hard. I didn’t see what happened, but I was surprised you were this upset. I heled talk through it with you and helped you calm down. We got into my car, kissed Daddy goodbye (he went to work) and had some fruit (I was suspicious you were just hungry).
We couldn’t go for fancy breakfast because we had to head to Port Charlotte for a photo session with some baby bunnies. You were super excited for this and have been looking forward to it all week. You patiently waited for your turn in the lobby while practicing writing sight words and continuing to have snacks. You even shared your long skinny crackers with the other kids who were waiting. The look on your face when you actually saw the bunnies was priceless. You immediately asked if you could hold them and they let you. You must have said “awwwww” a hundred times!
Our time at the bunny photos took longer than I anticipated, so we headed straight to Venice to take the lamb photos. We were 15 minutes early and she wasn’t shooting anyone so she took us early. The lambs were adorable! She also had a big bunny there too!! I can’t wait to get the actual photos back! I snapped a few with my phone at both places! We were done in about 20 minutes (sooner, but you stayed to play with the animals and feed the bunny).
We found a burger place for lunch on the way home. We were both starving. You brought your Puzzle Buzz and paper and we wrote more sight words until our food came.
On the drive home you asked me if you had to take a nap in the car. I said no and you were very happy about that. You wanted to send long silly text messages to Daddy, Ms. Sandy & Grandma Weezie. The when we were almost home you said “why are all these people texting me? I’m outta breath texting all these people! Then you said “can I text Grandma Weezie?” I said “but I thought you were done texting?” You said “no I just needed to get a breath.”
We had time to play for a while at home before getting ready for Saturday sitters. As soon as you walked in the door you stripped off all your clothes and put on your nightgown because you were so excited for Saturday Sitters. I asked you to lay in bed with me to see if you could at least rest and relax a bit. That lasted like 15 minutes. We went to your room and played Paw Patrol.
We were running behind this morning. When we were walking out to the garage, I opened the door and you saw Liz, our neighbor, walking her dog Blue. You got so excited you ran into the driveway to talk to them. I was asking you please to get in the car. You turned around and yelled at her “it’s quarter after nine I’ve got to get going I got to get to school and my mom said if I hurry up maybe I have time to get donuts!! Sorry no time to chat!” as you waved goodbye. The funny thing is it was only 8:45a but we were running way too late to stop for donuts. You didn’t think that was funny lol. You wrote words that you were asking me to spell the whole way to school. You gave your list to Ms. Ida as a gift again this moring.
After work, we hurried to get to Feds show – James and the Giant Peach. You wrote all the days of the week during the drive. When we got there, there was music and karaoke going on. You jumped right up on stage and sang your own tune! We went inside and the show was getting ready to start. You absolutely loved the show and had a blast watching Fed perform. After you love hugging him and he loves introducing you to his cast.
We had to head home because it was getting late. You had some snacks and then you and I went to bed together in my room. We’ve got a busy day tomorrow so I wanted to just get us both as much sleep as possible!
I love you so much!
You were a little slow to wake up this morning. As you were stretching, I asked about what you have been learning about rainforests this week at school. You told me all about which animals live in the emergent layer.
As soon as you got up, you ran upstairs to check on Jackie. Poor girl can’t even take a shower in peace lol. You scolded her gently that she didn’t handle the golf ball you gave her to clean in her shower properly. You were telling me about the emergent layer of the rain forest.
We did words on way to school and you brought them in to give to Ms. Ida at the gate. You were pretending to be the teacher and calling on classmates. When they got them wrong, you would encourage them “NO, but that’s close! Good try! Keep working!” It was so sweet. Then you would call on me to “get it right!” I’m stunned by the things you say and the things you know. You truly are remarkable. You sang a song about sight words that you made up too!!!
You had Spanish today and you were so happy to tell me about it when I got home. Before Ms. Sandy could get out the door, I was changing my clothes and you & Daddy had a little spat ending in you talking back. I came out to the living room and talked you both through it and we started over. You have been very quick and easy to upset lately. I’m not sure what’s going on, but if I get tough with you it makes it way worse. If I speak softly and bring things way down it goes much better. We get back on track much more quickly. We got back to our evening quickly and we sat down to dinner. Jackie worked late and when she got home you were super happy to put on an Elvis concert for her singing Burning Love! After the fun was done, we headed to bed. You tried to bring Jackie, but I knew you wouldn’t sleep if she came. We did some Lingos and you were out shortly.
I love you so much!
You were loving on Daddy while we were having breakfast. You asked him “Daddy when I grow up will you marry me?” Daddy said “you will find someone who loves you as much as I do to marry you!” Of course this melts my heart any time, but to witness the tenderness between you two, today, on the 6 year anniversary of losing my Dad is even more poignant. I love how you love each other. I feel grateful that you are getting such an awesome Dad experience. I had one myself and it was something I will never forget.
Ms. Sandy brought you to my office so we could take Jackie to dinner. Daddy met us at the office. We headed to the Hub on Siesta and had a blast. I was hoping we would have time to catch the sunset but we didn’t finish dinner in time. You got to see baby Will on Facetime. You were waving to him and giving him kisses. Lots of dogs were out & I think you pet them all!! There were kids at the table next to us that you were playing with. The little blonde girl was also 4. Her mom couldn’t believe you were too! After dinner we grabbed gelato & you skipped across the street with Daddy. That was pretty adorable. We headed home. I took you straight to bed and fell asleep with you!!!!
I love you so much!
