Despite going to bed late last night, you woke up surprisingly early at 730

breakfast

legoland.

dinner . Fell asleep in the car on the way home and slept the entire way.

home at 1015p. Daddy carried you into bed and you slept all night.

2/25/21

Play the playground at Marina jacks made friends with another can hugged and kissed him and held his hand as you were walking around

walk by the flamingo sign and you were yelling fancy fuppas

Stopped for dinner and O’Leary’s in your dance and played in the sand

You told me that today at school you got to jump in a sheet and hop around the structure

2/24/21

You made your bed this morning and came to get me to show me. You told me you couldn’t wait for Ms. Sandy to see so she could be proud of you.

Today was my last parent teacher conference at school.

After school Ms. Sandy took you back to Circus Park and your friends were there again.

We took Ms. Sandy to dinner

2/23/21 – Burning Love!

This morning, you got up and got dressed with no discussion. You came back to my room dressed and ready to roll. At first you had a long sleeved sweater on. I asked you to change because it was going to be 80 degrees today. When Daddy was trying to leave for work, you didn’t want to let him go. You were trying to be on the porch and not coming back in the house. He got upset with you and you came back in crying. When we ate breakfast we danced & sang to Burning Love by Elvis and you were having fun again. You wrote “Mommy Daddy Giovanna” on your easel and you were telling me you couldn’t wait to show it to Daddy when he got home. In the car on the way to school Daddy called to tell you he was sorry that he got upset with you. It was so sweet and let us start over, which is great.

Ms. Sandy took you to Circus Park today after school. You were so excited because some friends from last week were there again. The girls came running up to Ms. Sandy all excited and said “hey you guys are here!!” It was so cute! Those girls are so sweet for being 8 & 10. They were so excited to see you guys at the park again and they remembered you sharing your snacks with them last time. So of course you asked again if they wanted snacks and this time they were prepared and brought their own. So cute how you love to share!! You always tell kids at the park “my Mom has the best snacks!”

At one point, Ms. Sandy saw you huddled up with the girls talking and when she went over to check on you, you pushed her away and told her that it was a private conversation for her not to worry about it. Really?!

When I got home from work, we cooked dinner together. After we ate, you were playing Story Cubes with Daddy and coloring on your easel. You asked Daddy to take you to bed but after an hour and a half, you were still not laying down. I’m not sure why you never want to go to sleep but it is definitely the only source of frustration around here!!!!

2/22/21

You slept in your bed all night and I had to try several times to wake you up this morning. When you finally woke up, you came into my bathroom and gave me a huge hug. You did your jobs, but the delay getting out of the house today was that you wanted to finish cleaning your toy kitchen. We had to return Ms. Sugar back to school today and you were excited to tell Ms. Amber about all the fun adventures you had with her this weekend.

After school you told Ms. Sandy that you wanted to hurry home to clean the house so it would look so nice when Daddy & I got home. When we got home you were drawing with your dot markers and making us pretty pictures. You ate a great dinner, did some more drawing with Daddy and then we watched a little bit of Peter Pan. We headed to bed to do a few Lingos and you snuggled and squirmed. You finally fell asleep around 9:30p after coming back out for more cauliflower and to potty twice.

2/21/21 – All Shook Up!

Since you went to bed late literally every night this week, you slept in this morning until 8:30a. We played and you were coloring on your easel. I made pancakes for breakfast & accidentally had the oil in the cast iron skillet catch fire because the heat was higher than I realized. You were good abut it and prepared for the smoke alarms to go off. When they did you didn’t freak out, which was the first time ever! During breakfast you literally stood on Harold’s back and of course he cried, so he was closed the rest of the day. You brought your markers to my room to color with Ms. Sugar while I showered and got ready. After we colored together on the bed, we went for a bike ride. It was absolutely gorgeous weather today.

Grandma Noot came over and we went to pick up Grandma Weezie to go to Fed’s All Shook Up Show. Ms. Sandy & Romo met us there also. The show was absolutely amazing. When one of the cast members called Fed by his character’s name, Dennis, you looked at me and said “Dennis? His name is Fed!” You were so excited to see him perform. At intermission, they had a 50/50 drawing and they called you up to draw the winning ticket. At first you were shy and then Fed held your hand and you read the winning number yourself. After the show you gave him a huge hug. We had so much fun!

After the show, we dropped off Grandma Weezie and met Daddy at California Pizza Kitchen for dinner. On the way home, we picked up our pictures of Ms. Sugar’s adventures then went home and wrote in the school journal about all you did with her. As soon as we finished, we headed to your room to read the Hedgehog book and a Seuss book. We snuggled together after reading, you finally fell asleep quickly tonight and you were out by 9p.

2/20/21 – Adventures With Ms. Sugar

It took a bit to get you up this morning because you went to bed late again last night. You only ate a few bites of banana for breakfast before we got to gymnastics. You were excited to bring Ms. Sugar to class. You showed her to Coach Lexie and Coach Tammy. I snapped a few pictures of her watching you work. You did great today and stayed with the class well. Coach Tammy had you at the front of the line with almost all the exercises.

After class, we met Baby Olivia and Chrissy for fancy breakfast and Ms. Sugar got to go too! You wolfed down your pancakes and you were helping Olivia too. You two are so cute together!

After breakfast, we dropped Daddy off at home to work for a little bit while we went to the car wash, to get gas and to driver around hoping you would fall asleep in the car. I was trying to get your to rest a little because you have Saturday Sitters later. After running errands for almost an hour you looked exhausted but still didn’t fall asleep. I told you if you didn’t sleep you couldn’t go later. You told me you would sleep as soon as we got home. I didn’t think you would because you NEVER nap at home anymore, but you went straight to your room and climbed in bed. You were still making noise a few minutes later so I went in to check on you and you said you were just waiting on me to come lay with you. I laid down with you, you crawled up into my arms and you were snoring in less than a minute! I snoozed with you too! When we got up, Daddy got out a new kite to fly with you. We also sat in the grass with Ms. Sugar and read the Hedgehog book that came home with her.

We went in to get ready for Saturday Sitters. You like to wear jammies there each time. On the way, we practiced our rhyming words and turned it into a game. We dropped you off & Marcela came over for dinner. When I picked you up you were hoping she was still there, but she had left. You had so much fun and you were excited to tell me you just had a smoothie and a fruit snack right before I came lol. When we got home we headed to bed, but it took you a while to fall asleep, it was almost 11p. I’m just glad you napped and glad you had so much fun!

2/19/21 – Silly Hat Day!

It was silly hat day today at school. Ms. Sandy helped you make a crazy fruit and vegetable hat to wear. You also colored a card to take to Ms. Shelley. When you got home you told us that Lilly had the best had because it lit up! You came home with Ms. Sugar, the Pre-K class stuffed Hedgehog, and a book, puzzle and journal to log your adventures with her in. This book has been passed down through the Pre-K classes over the last two years and there were so many fun stories and photos of kids with her. You were so excited to get to take a turn!!! When I got home from work, you wanted to take her to dinner, so we did!
