10/31/20 – To Infinity…And Beyond!

This morning we had gymnastics. You had a great class, but you did leave a little again. I was helping Olivia in her class & you kept wanting to come over with me. Coach Nickie talked with us after class & said your strength & skills have greatly improved & you are just about ready for the 5 year old class. But, she can’t move you up until she’s confident you won’t leave your class because the big kids tumbling could hurt you if you aren’t with your class. They typically don’t move you up until your birth month, but physically, you are ready!

After class, we went to fancy breakfast with Chrissy & Olivia. You love watching out for her and holding her hand. You are such a good leader & caretaker. When we left breakfast, we went to a drive by trick or treat for my friend’s granddaughter, who’s Mom is sick so they can’t go trick or treating. We returned a few things at Macy’s then headed to Benderson park to play and run the maze. You played on the swings and then chatted with some kids and struck up a game of hide & seek (your newest fav lately). You were negotiating and giving directions to the kids telling them who was going where etc.

We went home to shower and get ready for trick or treat. I painted your nails with Buzz colors to match mine. You were so excited about it! You wanted to get into your costume at like 3:30p! It was killing you to wait. So we watched Toy Story Terror while you waited for your nails to dry.

Marcela came to see us dressed in our costumes & so did my friend Ingrid Walker & her dog Benji. All you cared about was the kisses Benji was giving you! Finally, it was time and we loaded up in your spaceship & took off! Aunt Deb cam and trick or treated with us too!

It took a long time for us to get around the block because the spaceship caused quite a ruckus! When we got home, you asked me to go outside so we could sit by the fire and just relax. Some of the neighbors came over and you said they were too loud. You said “I don’t want to hear all that talking.” You asked me for an apple and snuggled up in my arms. THIS is perfect!!!! I love you sooooo much! We FaceTimed with Ms. Sandy because we missed her earlier. You wanted to go back out take spaceship and get a burger from the Barker’s house, so we took another lap. You bellied right up to the bar and chatted up all the grown ups like you owned the joint! This was an awesome Halloween. We had a fun day and a great evening. This is definitely one for the books and I hope you never forget this!!!!

10/30/20 – You Wore Me Out!

When you woke up, you ran upstairs to look for Jackie. You were bummed when you realized she left already! You got it together, ate breakfast & got dressed happily. This morning, you marched into school so confidently.

Ms. Marian sent me this email today and it made my heart so warm. I’m so proud of you! I love how funny you are and how honest you are. You certainly say what’s on your mind!

“I was able to spend time with the Bear Class yesterday afternoon. We did wagon rides (we got a new one) and bubbles! Giovanna pulled her classmates in the wagon (SHE insisted!). It was quite humorous to see little Norah try to reciprocate the effort and pull G……lol…..I added the muscle needed for a successful turn. Fifteen minutes into the fun, G says “Miss Marian I’m exhausted you wore me out”….the kid cracks me up!  I wore her out? She insisted on doing the pulling…..LOL. After water drinks we went inside to draw or play table games. As classmates were coloring, she polled each one and asked “give me a word that starts with the letter ‘L”. Not one round, not two, not three….I think she sat there filling papers with the letter L as each child responded during multiple rounds! She finally said “OK, no one is allowed to say Lion and more!”  Your kid cracks me up!!”

The school app posted several pictures from the last two weeks and said “We have been very busy strengthening our fine motor skills and showing off our creativity. Also we are working hard on our one to one correspondence and using new math concepts like weighing and measuring!”

I picked you up from school and you showed me the project you made. You of course are always saying “I want to be a Mama Doctor, with a girl baby. And I will work in the hospital!” You made a Mama Doctor with a baby in her hand!

We stopped at Publix on the way home to grab a few ingredients for dinner tonight. You happily jumped up on the scale and it said 51 pounds! Before Jackie got home, you wrote out your birthday card for Baby Will! After dinner, we took a walk around the block and you were excited to show Jackie just how you can walk Harold. When we got home, we made a fire and had S’mores. It was a little chilly, so it was nice to snuggle together by the fire. We went to bed later than we should have (10:30p), but it was such a fun night & we hardly ever get to hang out with Jackie!

10/29/20 – Pretend I’m Alexa

You were so clingy to Daddy this morning. You didn’t want him to leave for work at all! While you were eating breakfast, you decorated the Bundt cake box for the surprise teacher treats we were bringing with us this morning. At first, you just wrote your name, then you decided to draw a picture of each teacher, so we wrote her name next to her image for each of them!

When we got to school, you were excited to give your gift to Ms. Amber. The teachers were all very appreciative and loved your drawings.

Lately, you have been singing the 5 little pumpkins song. You also made me give you Alexa commands, and you tell me “pretend I’m Alexa and ask me something I don’t know.” Now, you are telling me to “ask Alexa to play the 5 little pumpkins, fast version” lol. Alexa also has a skill called Quiz me about you, where she asks you questions about her. One of the answers stuck with you and you couldn’t stop repeating was “I’m not on Facebook because I don’t have a face, but I am on Twitter because I have a voice.”

I picked you up & we headed to gymnastics. I brought you a charcuterie pack. I handed it to you and said I have a surprise for you! You said “snacks aren’t a surprise…toys are!” You proceeded to tear it up! We talked to Ms. Sandy on the way to class. You had a great class & then we headed home to make mushroom soup, per your request. It was man night, so we stayed up and read books in bed with Jackie. We headed to bed and she went up to shower and call Baby Will.

10/28/20 – Sweets With My Sweetie!

Aunt Deb brought us baggies of acorns, pine cones, nuts & leaves from her yard to bring to school for the sink or float project. You were so excited to hand them to Ms. Amber when you got to school.

On the way home from school, you asked to stop for donuts. Instead, we stopped for bundt cakes. They were so fantastic that we ordered a dozen to take to the teachers tomorrow morning.

we took Harry for a walk. You were telling him “Walk Harry, walk walk. Don’t eat the wild mushrooms, they will make your belly sick.” We checked the mail and we found a Halloween card for you from Dr. Steinhauer in Chicago. We also got your Christmas dress delivered today and you tried it on but didn’t want to take it off!

Slept all night in your bed. Didn’t wake up until 845. I asked if you wanted to rustle up and go to gymnastics but you said no. We made fancy breakfast at home and played w daddy. I ran a fee

errands and asked you if you wanted to come with me but you said no I wanna stay here and be nakie. Since you chose to stay instead of running the errands I was going to run, instead I did a little

Xmas shopping for you. I found the get out rocky you had been wanting so I grabbed him and a chase.

Grandma weezie came over to watch the Clemson game

daddy took a nap so you and I ran to get a donut,

we came home and you were excited to carve the pumpkin so you ran back out to my car

to get the pumpkin carving tools. Instead you found the rocky i was hiding!! I was so bummed. I was yelling no no no to try to stop you from finding it and you started to cry and get really upset. I explained to you that I was just trying to surprise you and that’s why I was shoo-ing you away from the car. You said well I was surprised when I found it so that’s when the surprise was!! It made me

made dinner, played w your new paw patrol. Daddy had filet mignon & we had crab legs and potato leek soup. You love the crab legs and ate most of what I cooked!!!!

Trunk or treat

we ate pizza and watched a few Disney shorts

went to bed. We were all tired. You were snoring after 3 lingos. Then got up and came into living room 5 min later and wanted to watch tv. Took you back to bed and you were out again in no time!!
