7/3/20 – Fireworks!

When I woke up this morning, you were all snuggled up with Grandma Noot. You slept until the cleaning people came around 9:15am. You were so excited that we had a slumber party! You got up, played and helped Daddy clean up the grill and patio outside from last night. I had to run to the Dr. for a quick consultation and Daddy took you to Benderson Park for a quick breakfast while the cleaning crew worked.

When I got home, we went on the boat & went to lunch at Tarpon Point. Just as we were finishing you shot out of your chair and took off for the bathroom. I followed you and you wanted to go all by yourself – definitely the theme these days! You started to get really crabby and cried over everything. You were mad the door lock was acting funny in the stall, you wanted me to let you go in by yourself, etc. I took you to the side and explained to you that my job is to keep you safe and I can’t do that if I leave you alone in public. You calmed down, but asked me to carry you back to the table. You put your head on my shoulder and were snoring in 5 seconds!!!! I couldn’t believe you were THAT tired! Daddy paid the bill and I took you back to the boat. You slept on me for 1.5 hours! You only woke up when I tried to put you in the car seat to go home. You were still yawning and tired!

We went home & showered & quickly packed up food to go to Benderson Park’s fireworks display with Grandma Noot. As soon as we got there, she took you to the waters edge and bought you a light up flag wand and several American flags to wave. We set up our picnic, but all you REALLY wanted was the angel food cake that Grandma Noot made!!! You kept asking for it! We ended up parking right next Sabrina Blandin’s family (from gymnastics). You played with her and her brother all night. Her mom also bought you a light up sword like they had too.

As soon as we got home we went right to bed because it was after 10pm. We had such a fun day!!!!

I love you so much!

7/2/20 – Sleepover!

This morning, you painted, played & watched movies with Ms. Sandy. After lunch, Ms. Sandy sent me pictures of you in your fancy yellow dress, Elsa braid & sneakers, riding your scooter around the block. Ms. Sandy had been talking to you about all the flags out and that it was America‘s birthday. So while you were out on your scooter ride with her, you ran into Ms. Moe and she stopped to say hi to you. You had to tell her that she needed to put her flags out because it was America’s birthday. And you were so excited. It was so cute and funny.

On your way to gymnastics Ms. Sandy sent a super cute photo of you in your seat giving a thumbs up. Ten minutes later, she sent another of you completely passed out, holding a mermaid. You weren’t happy when she woke you up to go in, but go really happy once class started. At the end, Coach Nickie busted out bubbles! You were so happy about that!

Daddy had man night at the house. He made wings & I made pizza. Grandma Noot came over too and we watched Rio 2 while we ate pizza on my bed. We had cookies then watched Toy Story 4. We were all snuggled up together & all three of us fell asleep together in my bed! We all slept all night. Poor Daddy had to sleep in your room! We had so much fun! You were so excited about having a sleepover!

I love you so much!

7/1/20 – Mama, I Know You Had A Sad Day

Ms. Sandy sent me some cute pictures of you having fun playing with the water doodle mat that Jackie got you. Shortly after that, I received confirmation that my HcG numbers were dropping and we had a chemical pregnancy. I’m glad I found out at work, so I could lose it and regain my composure before I saw you.

When I got home from work you said “Mama, I know you had a sad day so I’m going to give you lots of hugs and love!” Of course, this immediately had me welling up with tears. Your compassion is one of your most admirable traits. You make my heart explode with love. I’m so devastated because I know how much you want a sibling and what a great big sister you would be. I hate that this isn’t happening. I’m glad you don’t know what we are going through.

Daddy wanted to take us to dinner, so we went to the Cheesecake Factory. On the way home, you wanted to stop by Grandma Weezie’s house to say hi. You said, “Grandma Weezie is gonna pee her pants if you say that to her. For real!”

When we got home Ms. Moe was waking by. You jumped out of the car and ran to give her a hug and show her your huge palm frond. She wanna cracking you laughing.

We went inside to get ready for bed. Daddy and I were in your room talking. You came in and said “Daddy, I turned on the news for you so we can watch TV in your bed.” Often when you are talking about music, you will say, “Mom, that’s your jam. The news is Daddy’s jam!” You are always looking for a way to get back into my bed! I love it though and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We still went to bed in your room, but I definitely needed the extra snuggles tonight. I’m always feeling so lucky that you are in our life. If we don’t have another baby, you are way more than enough for our hearts. I just want to give you the sibling you have always asked for.

I love you so much!!!

6/29/20

When you came to bed last night you brought your water bottle, bubble puppy stuffy and my huge UK flag blanket. You insisted on covering up with the blanket and then you frantically looked for bubble puppy, thinking you lost him, but he was just tangled in the huge blanket lol. You immediately went right back to sleep. Nine of those three things were remotely close together in your room & the blanket was in the blanket bin in the living room. I have no idea how you gather all these things up when you are sleeping!! Lol

You did lots of projects with Ms. Sandy today. You did your music theme kiwi crate & made the airplane from your pool party swag bag.

You started complaining about your mouth hurting. You have a molar coming in. I left you teething tablets this morning but when I got home from work you were very congested. I made stir fry and you didn’t even want any. Instead had yogurt and popsicles. We finished watching The Fox & the Hound then watched Spider-Man.

I found out today that our transfer likely is not going to be successful. My pregnancy test was positive, but my HcG was very low (it was 13 and should have been over 50). I’m absolutely devastated. I really felt great about how everything went. I was so optimistic that it had been successful.

You were playing naked in the living room. Ms. Moe was walking by & rang the doorbell because I left the trunk open to my car when I was unloading groceries. You were sad to miss her so you threw on a dress and we rang her doorbell. She offered you a cookie & we visited for a few minutes. We went home and went to bed. It was great to snuggle you extra tight tonight. You mean the world to me.

I love you so much!!

6/28/20 – Why Did You Wake Me?

Last night, you came to our bed around 2am. When I woke up at 7:30am, you & Daddy were snuggled up in the same position. He got up and went to wax the boat & I finally woke you up a little after 8am. We snuggled & played for little bit then you ask for breakfast in my bed. You requested “dippie sauce” eggies, your new favorite. You ate, laying on my bed watching tv. When you finished, you helped me make the bed & put all the pillows on perfectly! You also put medicine & band-aids on my boo boo on my leg.

We ran to Publix to get a few things, then packed lunch before heading to Marcela’s to swim. You couldn’t wait to use your new mermaid flippers. Daddy met us there when he finished with the boat. You swam with those flippers allllllll day and had a blast doing so. We grilled burgers and you of course ate with your flippers on and insisted to be called Ariel.

Back in the pool, you told Daddy “How about I be the swim gym teacher and tell you what to do!” You took a break from swimming just long enough to feed the chicken of course. You love to check out what she’s up to! You also did a ton of cannonballs, which you call “cantaloupes!” Before we packed up, you dove and got all your mermaids by yourself. Your swimming has substantially improved since April. You have had a lot of opportunities to practice at Marcela’s house during the Covid craziness since we weren’t as busy on the weekends.

You fell asleep on the way home in the middle of eating a peanut butter sandwich. You looked so sweet. When we got home, Daddy got you up & when you came in the house you asked me “why’d you wake me up? I was having a little snooze!” We showered together then ate a small dinner while watching Spiderman. Daddy noticed a mama duck & her babies outside and took you out to show them to you. When you came back in, we went to you room to go to bed. You sang some nite nite songs to me. While you were singing, Daddy came in and laid with us. You were so excited to have all three of us in your bed. You were snuggling with us and drifted off to sleep in just a few minutes. We had a fantastic day!

I love you so much!!!!

6/27/20 – First Pool Party!

You came to my room at 5am. We actually got up early today! In the car on the way to gymnastics, you said “If you need any powers just tell me and I will be use my powers to help you. Cheetah powers. Water powers. Bush powers. People powers. If you need any people just tell me!”

You love to tell me which words rhymes together. Fog bog sog log jog. House mouse. Car far bar.

At gymnastics you were super happy to play with Charlotte. You ran after each other & hugged each other. She told Coach Lexie that you are sisters. At the end of class, you asked her Mommy if she could come to the Leiters pool party with us!

The Leiter family from Discovery Days threw an end of school year party. We stopped at Whole Foods on the way to the pool party to get flowers as a hostess gift. You also wanted to buy a blueberry bush. We got one for us and a raspberry bush to give to Marcela tomorrow. This was your first pool party. When you walked in the kids were excited to see you and you were excited to see them. You all kept saying “what are you doing here?!?” You all seemed surprised to see each other out of school! You had so much fun swimming and playing. The Kona Ice truck came and you were sooo happy about that! There were two pair of mermaid flippers and you immediately fell in love with them so much that I immediately found out where the mom got them from, and ordered them to pick up at Target on the way home!!

We left at 1 and you fell asleep in the car. You only slept for about a half hour. When you woke up, we went to Target to pick up your flippers. When we got home, Daddy was unloading his car. You couldn’t wait to show them to him & tell him all about the party, the sugar you had & the Kona Ice truck!!!

We went inside, made dinner & watched Toy Story 4 before bed. You were out shortly after 9pm.

I love you so much!!!

6/26/20 – Last Day of School!

You came in my bathroom while I was getting ready, completely naked, carrying your Frozen scepter & wearing Frozen shoes. We got dressed in your mermaid swimsuit because today is Water Play Day. While eating breakfast, you looked at me and said “Mama, I really love you!” You just melt my heart!

Since today was your last day of school, we took a bunch of pictures with your sign. When Ms. Sandy picked you up, she took you to Cold Stone to celebrate your last day of school! You came to my office after that. You got to see Aunt Fed & their brand new puppy, Broadway. They were on their way home from just picking him up! When they left the you wanted to go back and see the girls. You ate lots of Romo’s lunch, typed on Bianca’s computer & called Jackie.

Ms. Sandy got you dressed and packed so that I could come home from work and pick you and Daddy & we met Grandma Noot & Zephyr at the private beach on Longboat Key. Unfortunately, an unexpected storm rolled in so we had to eat dinner in the condo instead of on the beach & it made for a not so fantastic sunset. But, we still had fun and you got to play in the sand after dinner.

As soon as we got home we went to bed. We have a big day tomorrow with gymnastics & a pool party.

I love you so much!

6/25/20 – It’s Itchy Like A Dinosaur!

Last night, you slept alllll night! I had to wake you up at almost 8am. But, you got up and did your jobs quickly, so we ended up running ahead of schedule. You chose to wear your new tennis skirt to school & it looked adorable. We walked Daddy out to the car to leave at the same time and I took a cute picture of you guys.

We Facecalled Grandma Weezie on the way to school. You love to chat her up and tell her all kinds of stories! When we got to school, you stood on your rock and wanted to take silly and sleepy pictures!

After school Ms. Sandy took to you to gymnastics and Daddy met you there. When you got home you told me you didn’t have great listening ears though. You were running out of the class & Coach Nickie had to keep encouraging you to get back in the class. You & Daddy called me on your way home and you told me all about the traffic you were in & gave me the play by play!

Grandma Noot brought Zephyr over to our house & we made pizza. You guys played in the toy room, rode bikes around the block and then went upstairs and had a dance party. All the sudden Vivir Mi Vida was blaring from the speakers! He figured out how to turn the stereo on.

You both had yogurt for a bedtime snack then they left and you came to bed with me. When we were laying in bed, you said “scratch my back Mama. It’s itchy like a dinosaur!” I scratched and rubbed your back until you settled down. We were both asleep a few minutes later!!!

I love you so much!

6/24/20 – Keep Watching Mama!

You slept in since we went to bed so late last night. You gave Daddy tons of kisses before he left. You waved to Daddy and opened the garage door. You ran out to the street to get more kisses. You saw his golf clubs and asked him if he wanted to go golfing at work.

In the car on the way to school you said “I have good eyes and good ears! Mine are stronger than yours!”

After dinner, you went on a bike ride with Daddy. When you got back, we got out the new Marshall bubble glove that I bought at Target. It was kind of a flop unfortunately, but we had fun trying to play with it. You ran over while we were playing and peed in the grass!

We came back inside and you watched Spider Woman. You told me, “Keep watching Mama!”

You were snacking on the couch & after spilling yogurt on the floor, you went to get a paper towel to clean it up & said “anytime you want me to clean something up I will!”

We went to bed together and I may have fallen asleep before you!!

I love you so much!!
