6/3/20 – I’m So Cute

You came to our room around 1am and crawled into bed, snuggling with me tight. I still love that – always will. I got up to shower and make your lunch. You DID NOT want to get up at all! When you finally did, you were happy, but we were slow motion! Today was the first Water Wednesday for this month at school, so you were super excited to go.

When I got home, you helped me cook dinner & Grandma Noot came over. You ate great & then we went for two laps around the block. We saw Ms. Moe & Jack Daniels. You rode your bike for one lap and then grabbed the grocery cart for the 2nd lap. You were taking crazy pictures with Grandma Noots phone and voice texting me hilarious messages. You told her “I’m so cute so I’m taking a lot of pictures” and that’s exactly what you did! I was trying to get you to your room to read books & get ready for bed. You wanted her to go with you. I came to find you guys playing cars in your toy room. When I opened the door, she told me that you wanted to relax by playing a relaxing game, rather than reading books. lol. I asked you if you scammed Grandma Noot. You looked at both of us and said yes, grinning. You are something special!! I love how much you love her and how much she loves you. It’s sweet to watch.

When we got into bed, Daddy sat in the recliner and read us a story that he made up. You were wiggly and didn’t want to go to sleep. It took a while, then you cuddled with me and fell right to sleep. You looked so peaceful when I went to leave, I just stopped to admire you and kiss you on the forehead.

I love you so much!

6/2/20 – It’s Such A Nice Day!

You wanted me to roll down all the windows on the way to school. You said “it’s such a nice day, it’s breezy!” I rolled them all down and you were so happy! When we got to school, you told Ms. Amber all about Spanish Buzz from Toy Story 3 and you sang “Hay Un Amigo En Mi” to her.

As I was wrapping up at work, I noticed a reminder pop up on my phone from Alexa. You have been setting funny reminders about using the potty, and Alexa hears them as “Pea Party” and the one that popped up made me giggle. You really are so funny!

You had fun making some crazy Snapchat photos with Ms. Sandy. When I got home, you were snacking on apples and peanut butter. You helped me cook and then helped me water all of our herbs and plants. When Daddy got home, you showed him how big your bean plant sprouted today (since this morning when you last showed it to him lol). After dinner, we took a bike ride. You were already eye-rubbing by 7:45p after going to be so late last night.

We went to your room to do Lingos as soon as we got home. Not without a battle though…. you had a tantrum because you wanted to have some sugar first. When I said no, you went to the freezer & pulled out an ice cream sandwich. When I continued to say no, you cried and threw a big fit. I got you to calm down, come to your room & get ready for bed. You were so exhausted we didn’t even do any Lingos, just listed to a few songs. When I turned off the music, you got mad again! Daddy came in to help calm you down. When he left, we snuggled for another 15-20 minutes and then you were out. It’s tough being so tired!

I love you so much!

6/1/20 – I Learned It Up!

This morning, the band-aid frenzy from last night continued. You were very upset at first that some of them came off last night. You had to shower this morning, but slept so late, that you didn’t get to shower with me. When you finished, you put about 4,000 more band-aids on lol! When we got to school, you showed Ms. Marian how many you had and you were super excited about your WonderWoman band-aids!

You were showing me that you know how to use Harold’s new leash. You said, “Look Mama, I learned it up!” as you put the leash on him. We weren’t even ready for a walk yet, because we needed to make dinner first.

Recently, you have started to set reminders on Alexa. Tonight you set a reminder to “Take a bike ride when its not raining at 10:30 tonight.”

When I got home, we went outside to check on our bean sprout. It really grew a ton in just one day!!! During dinner, you were teaching Daddy the Slippery Fish song that you learned at school today. When we finished dinner, Daddy went to Grandma Weezie’s to install a new TV for her & we went to Whole Foods. On the way home, we stopped by to surprise her with ice cream sandwiches!

When we pulled into our neighborhood, we saw Ms. Moe walking the block. You unbuckled your seat belt, jumped out of my car & walked home with her. I took the groceries inside then went out to get you. We were all talking in the driveway when Lauren and Mike came home. Lauren brought Captain over so you could play with him. You ran, he chased you. He ran, you chased him. He jumped on you and you played tug of war with palm fronds with him. You ended up taking him inside our house, which Harold didn’t love. Time got away from me and we went to bed way too late. It was almost 10p and you didn’t get to sleep until 11p.

I love you so much!

5/31/20 – Pancakes in the Waffle Iron

Daddy got up and went golfing before we even woke up! We slept in since you went to bed late last night. When you finally did wake up, we watched a little TV, snuggled on the couch then you were hungry. You asked me to make pancakes in the waffle iron (which you pronounce i-ron). I wasn’t sure how that was going to work, but it was pretty good!

When we finished breakfast, we headed over to Aunt Debs to swim. You were so excited to see Fed! You both played in the pool for a long time, then jumped in the trampoline. We had lunch, Ms. Sandy dropped by to bring Aunt Deb her steamer to borrow & you were pretending to sleep in the hammock. After lunch, you were both back in the pool (you were naked this time and super excited!)

We left around 6p and you were asleep in the car before we got out of her neighborhood. I woke you up when we got home because I didn’t want you to go to bed too late. You stayed with Daddy while I ran to Whole Foods to grab food to make dinner. You guys watched a movie and we ate when I got home. I tried to get you in bed early, but you were wiggly. You were so worried about your “Pokey” boo-boos on your hands and you wanted to put tons of band-aids on before you would lay in bed.

I love you so much!

5/30/20 – Swimming in Shoes

This morning, Daddy’s friend Brady brought him some new golf clubs. Daddy got your clubs out and you were happy to be like the boys. We made waffles for breakfast, then Chrissy invited us to go to DeSoto Park in Bradenton with Katrina & Kingston. You fell asleep in the car on the way there, which I wasn’t excpecting! I woke you up after sitting in the parking lot for 40 minutes or so & we sat at a picnic table to eat lunch before walking the trails. You and Kingston had fun playing and climbing trees. You were like a champ, even though I’m fairly certain that was the first time you ever climbed a tree. It was so cute to see you, Kingston & Olivia holding hands walking. When we finally made it to the trails, we came up to a shoreline at the water. Despite having a change of clothes, you went into the water in your clothes, including socks & shoes. You didn’t care & you had an absolute blast!!! We headed home because Emily Brophy was coming to play with you while Daddy & I went to dinner at Marcelas house. It was a must to get you in the bathtub when we got home because you were so sandy and that water was gross ( at least I thought so, although you didn’t seem to agree lol).

When we were ready to leave, you were playing with Emily in the toy room. I came to kiss you and tell you goodbye. You weren’t bothered at all by us leaving and told us to have fun and tell Marcela hi! This was the first time we had a babysitter, not just a friend or someone you knew well. I was glad you were so comfortable. She had always played with you when her Mom was making our Little Mermaid costumes, but you didn’t know her well. You had fun with Emily. You were still up when we got home after 10:30 & you were excited about it! She took you and Harold for a walk and you told me all about it! I took you to bed shortly after we got home. You claimed not to be tired and that you wanted to stay up all night!

I love you so much!

5/29/20 – Movie Night!

Daddy took you to school because I had a Dr. appointment this morning. When I told you last night that he would be taking you because I had an appointment, you said “Is it the Doctor at the hospital?” I said no, just the Dr. to get more vitamins. You ate all your breakfast in the car and got to watch The Little Mermaid on Disney+ in surround sound on the way there!

The pictures school put in the Sandbox app today were too cute. The summary they provided is below. You really enjoyed the frog unit at school last week.

When I got home from work, you had a side ponytail that Ms. Ida did for you today at school after your nap! It was so adorable! Grandma Noot came to have dinner and hang out and brought Zephyr with her. You were so happy to play with him. We walked the block in your car & then we watched Incredibles II. You were sitting and laying with him & so happy to have a buddy. It was so cute!

I love you so much!

5/28/20 – Butterfly, Chrysalis, Butterfly, Chrysalis

This morning you got to eat your breakfast on the couch, while watching Bubble Guppies & I was doing your hair. On the way to school, you asked to call Auntie Rina because today is her birthday and you wanted to wish her happy birthday. We “Facecalled” her but she didn’t answer. You rattled off the list, in order, of the next people you would like to call. Grandma Weezie was next, so we called her and you were happy to chat. You finished your breakfast in the front seat of my car in the school parking lot, while chatting with her. When we got out of the car to head to school, you gave me a hug & kiss & told me to have a great day at work while you are at school!

You had a great day at school. You and Ms. Sandy did your Rainforest Koala Crate project and you had so much fun. When I got home, you couldn’t wait to show it all to me. Grandma Noot stopped by with Payton and you showed her and kept saying “butterfly, chrysalis, butterfly, chrysalis” so excited to see them both!

After dinner we went outside to tend to our herbs and plants. You now can turn on the hose, fill the watering can and water all the plants by yourself. It’s amazing how little you have to be shown to master things! You really are a remarkable little girl! You wanted to do some Kids Lingos on my phone while I helped Grandma Noot with some paperwork. You ended up sending Ms. Sandy & Daddy a voice text all about doing more projects with Ms. Sandy and saying you love Grandma Weezie, Ms. Sandy, & the mermaids lol. You have been doing that when we send funny Snapchat photos, but you figured out how to do it in my text messages now lol. Again, one smart cookie!!!

After playing for a bit, we headed to your room for some Lingos. You had a tough time settling down again tonight and it was 10p before you were asleep!!! Once you finally stopped wiggle worming, you were snoozing in no time…

I love you so much!

5/27/20 – Kyle & Grandma Weezie & the Mermaids!

When you came to bed last night, you couldn’t have possibly gotten closer to Daddy if you tried. You also stole all the covers from him! You didn’t want to get up again this morning, so I let you sleep a little later. When I tried to get you dressed you were mad that you didn’t want piggy tails or panties. So, you rode to school with just your panties on and nothing else & we got dressed in the school parking lot! All of a sudden, you were smiley!

Ms. Sandy said you had a great day at school. When you got home you fed and watered our plants and herbs. When I got home, you wanted me to dance with you to Bamboleo so you could show Ms. Sandy how to do it. You helped me make stir fry and we took pictures with funny faces. You sent them to everyone on Snapchat and sent Grandma Weezie cute voice messages saying “I love you Kyle & Grandma Weezie & the Mermaids!” After dinner, we started out walking Harold when we ran into a neighbor & started chatting. In the meantime Harry pooped & you wanted to clean it up yourself (hopefully you never lose that!!). The neighbor is a teacher at Bayhaven so we chatted about the school and she commented that you seemed very ready for Kindergarten. I told her you just turned 4 a month ago and she was shocked!!!! In the meantime, Daddy came home from the gym & pulled around the corner. You ran to his car with Harold and you both rode home in the front seat. We took another shot at making the storm in a glass project that you did with Ms. Sandy & we had great success. You had a lot of fun with it!

I ran with Grandma Noot to decorate Marina’s office for her birthday tomorrow. I gave you a hug & kiss before I left and you were so sweet about it. Daddy took you to bed & you kept trying to wait up for me. I must admit, that I missed taking you to bed.

I love you so much!

5/26/20 – Bun, Bike, Bolognese & Buddha

You came to my room early last night… 11:45p or so. You jumped in bed and snuggled with me, almost pushing me out of bed lol! You were slow to wake up this morning! You wanted to wear a messy bun to school, because I randomly made one yesterday, when I insisted we get your hair out of your face at dinner. I don’t know why, but lately, you just want you hair down all the time & it’s always in your face. I don’t know how that doesn’t drive you nuts! Either way, it looked super cute on you!!

After school, you made Ms. Sandy make a construction paper fish & it was hanging on the fridge when I got home. You were playing with your new snakes & when you heard the garage door open, you ran to hide in my room to jump out & yell BOO! Well, I hid behind Buddha & when you opened the door, I jumped & yelled BOO & completely spooked you! You giggled sooo hard, then ran up and gave me the best hug ever! You were so excited to show me your caterpillar, butterfly, chrysalis leaf project that you brought home. It was so cute!

You wanted pasta for dinner, so you helped me make a bolognese. When Daddy got home, we ate & then you played pattycake with him, while wearing his new dishwashing gloves lol. After dinner, we were going to take Harold for a walk. You ran to change into bike riding clothes & came out in mismatched jammies and night pants. I asked why you put night pants on already & you said “it’s going to be night time when we get home!”

We went for a bike ride for one lap & a scooter ride for the second lap. When we got home, we headed to your room to do 2 Italian Lingos, then listened to Incredibles II soundtrack. You wiggled & wormed. Finally at 9:45p I was like, it’s late & you really need to get some sleep. All of a sudden, you rolled over & were asleep in 5 minutes. I got up to go and you opened your eyes just the tiniest bit and asked “where are you going?” I said, I have to pee, I will be right back. I went to the bathroom & came back to check on you. You were sound asleep. I kissed your forehead and thanked you for another amazing day.

I love you so much!

5/25/20 – Pancakes & Projects

This morning, I got up and did laundry & cooked bacon for you, before you & Daddy even stirred. When I came back into our room, you were both in the same position, looking like twins, again! You came to find me when you woke up. You showered with me and then you were sooo cold, you wanted to jump back in my bed, get under the covers & watch TV. We snuggled in bed for a bit & you were excited to have such a huge stack of pillows behind you.

You ran around in my shirt all morning, then helped me cook pancakes & hashbrowns. During and after breakfast, you were playing with everything it seemed. After we finished, we jumped in the car to drive Dave to show him the lot. You said “the old house is where we live now. The new house is here!” I love how excited you are and that you understand the concept that we will be moving. I have planned and dreamed of this house being the perfect home for you to grow up in. Plenty of space for you and lots to do – pool, boat dock, etc. I hope it is as perfect as I picture it today!

When we got home, we put your beans & seeds from school in a jar, so we can watch them sprout. You helped Daddy clean the garage and scrub the garbage cans. Daddy made us lunch and we worked on your cutting projects. I made a construction paper fish and you approved of my project! You also did your Rainbow Koala Crate project with Daddy. You stuffed the cloud pillow and assembled the felt rainbow by yourself! Then you & I made your rainbow tote bag together.

You wanted leftover pancakes for dinner & thought it was hilarious to have breakfast again! We snuggled on the couch together, watched a little TV, then did 2 Italian Lingos before you curled up in my arms and drifted off to sleep. It was a dreary & rainy day, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. We had a few fun “home days” and I’m so glad we did!

I love you so much!
