In the car you said I thought I got up early enough to see daddy. I reminded you he’s in PA

100th day of school

launching into literacy week. You got to dress up like an astronaut 👩🚀

You woke up at 7:15a despite going to bed a little later last night. You were playing a catch the dollar bill game with Bob, Judy’s husband. You were starting to get frustrated when you weren’t catching it, then you starting trying to get me lol. We made pancakes and just hung out until lunchtime. We made lunch then headed back home. While I was doing laundry and unpacking you feel asleep on the couch watching TV.
You woke up around 7:30a and we made breakfast. You helped me cook and serve the food. We played sorry and cards. It was too chilly to go to the beach unfortunately. We went to dinner at Speaks on St. Armands and you were so snuggly with Daddy. The football playoffs were on so we watched some of the game after dinner then headed to bed. You were upset that we didn’t bring Hank to bed and while you were pouting, you accidentally fell asleep! We still had a fun day despite the crappy weather and it was nice to just lounge around the condo.
I love you so much!

Hank slept on you the entire ride to school. We sang songs and practiced your sight words. You got another 100% on your sight words test today and that completed list 10 – all the Kindergarten words. Now, you are moving on to 1st grade words.

After school was the winter carnival 🎡. Daddy surprised you and met us there. He was in San Francisco all we and got home at 3am last night so you hadn’t seen him yet. You were soooo excited and threw your arms around him. There were tons of bounce houses, games, food, prizes and face painting. You ran around with Meka with your arms around her the whole night. You had so much fun and we stayed until the end, even though I was freezing and still in my work dress. We headed to the condo because my friend Judy Perlman (our neighbor in Ohio) was meeting us there for the weekend. She was so excited to meet you. We played & snacked, then headed to bed.
I love you so much!!!!

I brought both dogs to pick you up from school. You were so excited to see Harold when you opened the car door. You were happy to show him to Ms. Wolleon. We went home and had picnic outside for dinner. You were cracking up that you were eating cold pizza. We Facetimed with Daddy & Grandma noot. When the bugs came out we went inside and made indoor s’mores. You couldn’t get over the fact that the marshmallows were cooking with a lighter!!! After we finished, we played bowling outside. Ms. Mo & Franklin stopped by to see what you were up to. We headed inside, talked to Daddy and fell asleep after one book.

You came to my room around midnight. I was nervous to snuggle with you because I don’t want to get you sick, so I put Hank between us & I flipped over to face the opposite direction. You woke up at 6a and I took Hank out to pee. We laid back down and you finally fell back to sleep. When you woke up around 8:10a you came out to the living room, hugged Hank and said hi to Aunt Deb (I was talking to her on the phone). All of a sudden it was quiet and I went to check on you. You had climbed back into bed and fallen back to sleep. I thought it was odd but 6 was awfully early for you to wake up. I couldn’t tell if I should send you to school or not. I tried to get you dressed and you were freezing, which is super unusual. I had to put all of you clothes on under the covers while you were still in bed. I was more concerned about sending you. You said you stomach and head hurt. I asked if you wanted to stay home. You said yes. I told you that you could, but if we didn’t go today, we can’t go to the winter carnival on Friday. You popped up, brushed teeth and hair and we headed out the door. You didn’t want to get out at car line either. I should have known. Ms. Wolleon texted me around 10a to say you have been crying and saying your head and tummy hurt. I came immediately to pick you up. You looked so uncomfortable & I felt so bad for even sending you. We came home, you snuggled on the couch and watched TV barely moving. I offered you something to eat or drink a million times. Finally around 1:30p you popped up and requested cheese pizza. You wanted to go to Il Panificio so I took you. On the way, you were dozing off. I still got the pizza, just in case, but we headed to the dog track to get you a rapid COVID test. You slept a good bit and I had to wake you for the test, which didn’t make you very happy, but we hurried back home. When we got home you went to the bathroom and you came out and announced, “Mom! You were right! I just had to poop!” and you felt perfectly fine the rest of the day!!! You had some of your pizza and I made veggie stew. We took a few laps around the block in the wagon, spent a LOT of time on your new Disney Princess sticker book – there’s lots of little blurbs to read which is great! We Facetimed with Ms. Sandy & Aunt Deb. We also got to FaceTime with Daddy for a few minutes in bed. We called but missed him shortly before, so you sent him a video about how much you missed him. It warms my heart. You were so sweet today. When we were working in the sticker book, you would just put your arm around me or rub my hand and kiss it. I absolutely would be lost without you.
I love you so much!

Fortunately, you tested negative for COVID this morning so you got to go to school today. You had a great day. I picked you up in the car line and Ms. Wolleon helped you into the car. You were so excited for her to see Hank (of course he goes every day to drop you off & pick you up). You told her at recess that she could babysit him one day. She was teasing you that she was going to keep him and you were squealing!!! When we got home, we had dinner then played with your new Disney princess sticker book. While I was cooking, you told me all about MLK! I sent your video to Ms. Wolleon and she was proud that you were listening so well to today’s lesson!!! We snuggled on the couch reading stories before bed. We FaceTimed Daddy before turning out the lights. You snuggled with Hank in bed and were showing him “how to go to sleep” telling him to lay still, with your arm cradled around him and saying relax buddy! It was so sweet. In five minutes, you were both snoring.

I love you so much!
Today we were off for MLK day. The plan was to go to Legoland with Becky & Bianca, but I felt too crappy to go although I felt much better than yesterday. I felt so bad to not take you, but I just couldn’t. We laid around all day playing and watching TV. I ended up taking a COVID test and it was positive. We stayed home all day and I made potato soup. You ran around in my heels and put on several performances.
I love you so much!
